Eventually my mom has to hurry me along so I don't miss the bus.The bus ride to school takes about 20 minutes. I usually listen to music on my headphones or text with my friends to kill time. When we get to the school, everyone rushes off the bus and heads inside the big double doors at the front entrance. My homeroom class is on the second floor, so I have to hustle up the stairs before the first bell rings at 8:15.First period is math, which I'm pretty good at but can be kind of boring. Next up is science, which is one of my favorite classes since we get to do a lot of cool experiments. Then it's English, where we're reading this really long novel that I'm not a huge fan of to be honest. I start getting pretty hungry during third period, counting down the minutes until lunch.Finally the lunch bell rings at 11:30! I meet up with my group of friends and we all head down to the cafeteria together. We have to wait in line for what feels like forever to get our food. But once we finally get our trays, we find a lunch table and hang out, talk about our morning classes, and gobble down our meals. Sometimes we have just enough time for a quick game like RoseRose or Fortunately/Unfortunately before the bell rings for 5th period.After lunch is history, which isn't too bad. The teacher lets us work in groups sometimes which makes it more fun. Then I have Spanish - I really like learning a new language but speaking it out loud in front of everyone makes me kinda nervous. Sixth period is music, where we can either take band, orchestra, or chorus. I play the trumpet in band, which is pretty sweet.Once music ends at 2:45pm, I'm finally done with my academic classes for the day. At that point, I have a little break where I can relax, hang in the courtyard with friends, or even meet with some clubs that I'm involved in. I'm in French club, drama club, and the robotics team.Around 3:30pm, it's time for sports practice. I play on the school's soccer team in the fall season. Practice usually lasts for two hours, with lots of running drills, scrimmages, and skill work. It's exhausting but I really love being part of the team.After soccer practice ends at 5:30pm, I might have a little bit of down time before my mom can pick me up. If the weather is nice, sometimes my friends and I will toss a frisbee around on the big lawn behind the school. After eating for about 25 minutes, we go outside to the basketball courts or fields and run around playing games until the bell rings at 12:30pm.In the afternoon, I have more classes - history, art, gym, and computer lab. My gym class is my favorite because I get to runaround and play sports like basketball, soccer, or dodgeball. We have gym every other day. On the days we don't have gym, we have an extra elective class instead where I can choose to take things like music, drama, robotics or cooking.Finally, it's 3:15pm and time to go home! I meet my bus outside again and it drops me off at my house around 3:45pm. As soon as I get home, I have a snack like chips or cookies and then I start on my homework. I usually have a couple hours of homework each night - math worksheets, reading to do for English, maybe a paper to write or a project to work on. I try to get as much done as I can before dinner.For dinner, my mom or dad cooks and we all eat together as a family around 6:30pm. After dinner, if I still have homework left over, I finish it up.
