The first lunarmonth is called Yuan-month in China, and in the ancient times people called nightXiao. Meanwhile, the 15th day is the first night to see a full moon. So the day is alsocalled Yuanxiao Festival in China. According to the Chinese tradition, at the very beginning of a new year, when there is a bright full moon hanging in the sky, thereshould be thousands of colorful lanterns hung out for people to appreciate. At thistime, people will try to solve the puzzles on the lanterns and get all their familiesunited in the joyful atmosphere.Besides entertainment and beautiful lanterns, another important part of the Lantern Festival, is eating small dumpling (面团)balls made of glutinous rice flour(糯米粉). We call these balls Yuanxiao of Tangyuan. Obviously, they get the namefrom the festival itself. It is said that the custom of eating Yuanxiao originated during the Eastern Jin Dynasty in the fourth century, then became popular duringthe Tang and Song periods. The fillings inside the dumplings or Yuanxiao are either sweet or salty. Sweet fillingsare made of sugar, walnuts (胡桃),sesame (芝麻),osmanthus flowers (桂花),rose petals, sweetened tangerine peel (甜橙皮),bean paste (豆沙),or jujube paste (枣泥). A single ingredient (成分)or any combination can be used as the filling. The salty variety is filled with minced (切碎的)meat, vegetables or a mixture. The way to make Yuanxiao also varies between northern and southern China. Theusual method followed in southern provinces is to shape the dough (生面团)of rice flour into balls, make a hole, insert the filling, then close the hole and smoothout the dumpling by rolling it between your hands. In North China, sweet or non-meat stuffing is the usual ingredient. The fillings are pressed into hardened cores, dipped lightly in water and rolled in a flat basket containing dry glutinousrice flour. A layer (层)of the flour sticks to the filling, which is then again dippedin water and rolled a second time in the rice flour. And so it goes, like rolling a snowball, until the dumpling is the desired size. The custom of eating Yuanxiao dumplings remains. This tradition encourages bothold and new stores to promote their Yuanxiao products. They all try their best toimprove the taste and quality of the dumplings to attract more customers回答者:我发二代- 试用期一级2009-1-17 15:32检举七年级上学期内容的哦:I am a girl.My English name is Linda.I am eleven years old.I have eight subjects atschool. They are Chinese, math,English,P .E.,music,art,science and history. My favorite subject is Chinese.I think it is interesting.I also like English. But it's a littledifficult for me.I can speak only a little English.History is interesting ,too.I like it.Math is difficult.Mr Wang is our math teacher. He is very strict.I'm usually tired after his class. But I work hard.I think I can study it well.⒈Linda is ______.(A)A.11B.12C.13⒉Linda has ______subjects at school.(C)A.sixB.sevenC.eight⒊Linda's favorite subject is ______.(A)A.ChineseB.EnglishC.math⒋Linda thinks English is ______.(C)A.difficultB.interestingC.a little difficult⒌______ is NOT true.(B)A.Linda can speak a little English.B.Mr Wang is Linda's history teacher.C.Linda thinks she can study math well.Edward rose early on the New-year morning. 初中七年级英语阅读理解题
初中七年级英语阅读理解题第一篇:It’s time for lunch! Today we have obento. In fact, “obento” is a word for lunch in Japanese. It’s tasty, healthy and eye-catching.There are some interesting rules in an obento. First, rice is separated from the other dishes. Thus the rice won’t pick up any other flavors. Besides, there is the main dish and the two side dishes. The main dish can be anything from dumplings, to fried chicken, to fish. And the side dish can be anything, like salad.During obento making, you must learn to bine the food colours of red, yellow, and green. The red food will make people feel hungry, the yellow food is usually healthy, and the green food is full of vitamins. So if you can bine these colours well, you can make a good obento.Nowadays the obento plays a great part in Japanese life. When a class goes for an outing, all the students will bring their mom-made obento. You see, the obento is always filled with love, just as a mother said, “I remember my mother making obento for me. Now I make obento for my daughter every day. Hopefully, she’ll make obento for her children too, with the same love.”阅读短文,选择正确答案。
