一、纽交所收购美国证券交易所
2008年10月1日，纽交所完成对美国证券交易所的收购，并购后，纽交所拥有美国第三大期权交易市场，进一步强化了纽交所在ETFs、股权、封闭式基金、及结构性产品市场的领导地位。
交易所英文原文如下：
New York, Oct. 1, 2008 –NYSE Euronext (NYX), the world’s leading and most diverse exchange group, today completed its acquisition of the American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)), becoming the third-largest U.S. options marketplace and enhancing the company’s leadership in ETFs, cash equities, closed-end funds and structured products.
二、发行类型

AMEX被纽交所合并后，更名为NYSE Alternext US LLC。
NYSE Alternext市场为纽交所的创业板市场，是小型、微型公司上市交易的预演市场。

NYSE Euronext completed its acquisition of the American Stock Exchange (Amex) on October 1, 2008. Post merger, the Amex equities business has been rebranded NYSE Alternext US LLC (NYSE Alternext). NYSE Alternext is positioned to be the premiere market for listing and trading of small and micro cap companies. There are significant changes associated with transforming Amex equities execution business into NYSE Alternext US.
