1.
I've thought long and hard about how Chinese parents can get away with what they do. I think there are three big differences between the Chinese and Western parental mind-sets.
First, I've noticed that Western parents are quite worried about their children's self-esteem(自尊心). In other words, Western parents care about their children's psyches(心灵). Chinese parents don't. They find that they are strong, not frail(脆弱的), and as a result they behave very differently.
Second, Chinese parents believe that their kids should thank them for everything. The reason for this is a little unclear, but maybe it's because of Chinese traditional customs and the fact that the parents have done so much for their children.
Third, Chinese parents believe that they know what is best for their children. So they don't care about their children.
Don't get me wrong: It's not that Chinese parents don't care about their children. Just the opposite. They would give up anything for their children. It's just an entirely different parenting model(养育模式).

Distribution maps(分布图)use colors or signs to show facts about an area. For example, where different languages are spoken, how many people live in an area, how cold and hot some places are, or whether a place is short of water.

Starting on June 20, the e-ticket system will be used on rail lines running at normal speed, with over 1,300 train stations. Chinese passengers will completely say goodbye to paper tickets. Before that, the e-ticket system was only used on high-speed and intercity(城际的)railways.
In China, normal-speed trains play an important role in railway transport and also serve as an important choice for passengers. They provide over one-third
of all railway passengers with trips every year.
The e-ticket service first started on the high-speed rail line of Hainan Province in November 2018, and another four high-speed intercity railways were tested in July 2019.
After being used on most of the high-speed lines across the country during the fourth quarter last year, the system achieved full coverage on all high-speed and intercity railways in late April.
Passengers using the e-ticket system will be able to enter the station and check in with their ID cards and facial recognition(人脸识别)without a paper ticket. The system will also reduce waiting time and there won't be any risk of losing tickets. Also, the time of ticket-checking will be shortened from 3.8 seconds per person to 1.3 seconds.

Starting on June 20, the e-ticket system will be used on rail lines running at normal speed, with over 1,300 train stations.

词后also serve as an important choice for passengers(也是旅客的重要选择。

They provide over one-third of all railway passengers with trips every year.(它们每年为超过三分之一的铁路乘客提供出行服务。

Passengers using the e-ticket system
will be able to enter the station and check in with their ID cards and facial recognition(人脸识别)without a paper ticket.
