1Teaching objectives
1. Knowledge and skills:
1) To master some useful words and expressions about the Earth, e.g.
protect, pollution, pollute, produce, green, temperature, increase, natural, endangered
recycle, protect the environment, greenhouse effect, in danger, take action, be bad for, throw away, pu t…into, stop doing something, take in,
result in, as a result of.
2) To master how to express what environmental problems we have.
3) To master how to express what we can do to protect the Earth.
2. Process and strategy:
1) To improve some effective listening skills like grasping and taking notes of key information.
2) To improve speaking ability based on the topic.
3. Emotion and attitude:
1) To educate students to protect the Earth. Learn to observe the environment around us, such as enda ngered animals, water, forests,
pollution and so on.
2) To encourage students to do something friendly to the Earth and try to improve the relationship betw een human beings and nature.
3) To encourage students to take part in the classroom activities so that they can become more interest ed in English learning and have more
confidence in listening and speaking.
2Analysis of the teaching material and learning condition
1. Analysis of the teaching material
This is a revision lesson, the topic of which is about how to protect the Earth. Students are expected
to develop some effective learning skills
and strategies, such as taking notes of key information while listening. They should practise outputtin
g information about how to protect the
Earth based on the previous learning. Meanwhile, the students will have the moral education.
