宝玉挨打的根本原因:
贾宝玉是一个鄙弃仕途 经济、背离封建礼教的贵族 叛逆者,他与封建卫道士有 着不可调和的矛盾。
贾宝玉:
• 鄙弃封建礼 教,虽遭毒 打而仍不思 悔改的封建 家庭的叛逆 者。
林黛玉是京都赫赫 有名荣国府贾太夫人的 外孙女,贾宝玉的表妹。 这年黛玉的母亲病故, 贾母痛惜她无人傍依, 把她接来府中居住。从 此,黛玉与宝玉朝夕相 处,言和意顺,友爱异 常。
黛玉探伤:她是在宝玉“半梦半醒”悄悄进来的。没有
侃侃而谈,只是“无声之泣,气噎喉堵。”面对伤势沉重 的宝玉,她“心中虽有万句言词,只是不能说得。”抽噎 半天,才说出一句“你从此都改了罢”!这发自内心的一 句话,表现了黛玉内心极其复杂的情感,饱含了黛玉对知 音的痛惜和关爱,这句话是黛玉看到宝玉被打得如此惨重, 她内心极度痛苦说出的,并非真的要宝玉改悔。

贾政与宝玉的矛盾:表面上看,这一冲突是一个严父教训 逆子的偶然事件,但实际上蓄积了长期的矛盾和冲突,蕴 含了深广的社会内容。贾政与宝玉的父子矛盾由来已久。 贾政兢兢于仕途经济,作为封建制度和封建礼教的忠实卫 道者,作为贾府统治者的代表,他要求宝玉“留意于孔孟 之间,委身于经济之道”,成为封建统治阶层的忠臣孝子 和封建贵族家庭的可靠继承人。而宝玉偏偏“行为偏僻性 乖张”,不喜圣贤之书,是一个鄙视功名、背离封建礼教 的叛逆者。宝玉对父亲只是惧畏,并非敬服,内心里十分 憎恶父亲的那套虚伪腐朽的封建说教。因此父子间的矛盾, 实质是新旧两种思想、两种人生道路的冲突和斗争。贾政 的恪守封建忠孝、望子成龙与宝玉的任性乖僻、鄙弃仕途 经济的矛盾是不可调和的。这样,雨村来访、忠顺府索琪 官、贾环进谗这三个偶然外因 ,终于诱发了这对父子矛 盾的深刻内因,宝玉挨打,势在必然。
