Teach the Present Progressive.
Introduction: Talk about the title of this unit. Show some pictures to introduce the Present Progressive tense. Let the Ss to say what the Present Progressive is.

1. Help the Ss talk about the pictures. The Ss read these V-ing words after the teacher.
2. Match the words and the activities. Check the answers.
Step5 Work on 1b
Listen and match the times with the actions.
Ask one student to give us the answers and read the conversations together.

三、Grammar:The Present Continuous Tense
现在进行时:be动词+V-ing
动词现在分词的构成规律
1) 一般情况下,在动词原形后直接加-ing。

如:
work—working do—doing play—playing
2) 以不发音的字母e结尾的动词,去掉e,再加-ing. 如:
dance—dancing come—coming
3) 重读闭音节单词,如果末尾只有一个辅音字母,则双写这一字母,再加-ing。

如:
get—getting shop—shopping
run—running swim—swimming

1. 表示现在(说话瞬间)正在进行或发生的动作。

2. 也可表示当前一段时间内的活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。

二、句子结构:
1. 陈述句:主语+ be (am, is, are) not + V. –ing +…
2. 一般疑问句:
Be(Am, Is, Are) + 主语+ V.-ing …
三、常用时间状语:
now, right now或表示现在情景的Look, listen等。

四、与一般现在时态的区别
一般现在时态表示经常性、习惯性的动作;谓语动词为原形或第三人称单数形式.
