1. 学习并掌握下列单词:
rainstorm, alarm, go off, begin (began), heavily, suddenly, pick up (the phone), strange
2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:
be busy doing, so… that, wake up, go off, pick up, wait for, look for, at the time of …
3. 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式:
1)—What was the girl doing at the time of the rainstorm? —She was …
2)—What were you doing last night? — I was ...
3) While you were sleeping, I called Jenny and she helped me.

4. 学会过去进行时态的构成和用法。
能力目标通过听说训练,学会运用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。
教学重点正确使用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。
教学难点正确使用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。
教学方法图片呈现,回忆过去,时态对比。
情感目标通过本课的学习,培养学生在困难面前互帮互助的优良品质。

利用PPT呈现图片;左边白板写重点句型;右边白板写新单词。

1.Revision.Review the past tense.
what are you doing?
I’m … (reading /listening to you /talking with … / doing the homework )
What is he/she doing?
He/She is…(reading /listening to you /talking with … / doing the homework )
what are they doing?
They are … (reading /listening to you /talking with … / doing the homework )
2.Presentation
(1) Leading-in
Ask the Ss what are you doing? (从提问全班转到个人)
(2) Ask the Ss “ what were you doing when I asked …?” ( Help the ss answer)
Ss: I was … (reading /listening to you /talking with … / doing the homework )
what was he/She doing when I asked …?
He/She was … (reading /listening to you /talking with … / doing the homework )
(3)Practice practice the conversation with specific time eg.at 8:00 yesterday 7:40 this morning …
(4) 总结过去进行时的构成:was/were + doing…
(5) 总结现在分词的构成:
一般:waiting, studying, playing 去e:moving, having 双写:running, shopping
(6) Make a comparison between the two tenses. 时态对比:
现在进行时的构成am/is/are+V-ing 表示现在正在发生的事情或动作
过去进行时的构成:was/ were + V-ing 表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在发生的事情或动作。
例句 1)I am having an English class 2)I was having an English class at 8:00 yesterday/at this time yesterday.
3. Consolidation
1.) (Teacher & students) Ask the Ss what they were doing at 8:00 last night.
(With different personal pronoun)
T: What were you doing at 8:00 last night?
Ss: I was doing the homework in the house.
T: What was he/she doing at 8:00 last night?

2) Make new conversations about what happened to themselves the day before with past tense like 1d.

教学反思:本单元的知识点是过去进行时。
对于学生:学生积极参与,课堂气氛不错。
优秀学生课堂表现极好,效果很好。
中等学生还需多加练习,后进生需单独辅导。
对于知识点,过去进行时的结构是基于现在进行时,结构学生易懂易记住。
但用于造句时很多学生爱混合这两种时态,且翻译时爱落be动词。
故特嘱咐学生,不行就把be动词相应的记为“在”或“正在”,结果效果不错。
但同时少部分学生还出现过去进行时与一般过去时的混淆,故以后还需多加练习。
