Social ethics are kind of like the instructions that help keep everything running smoothly in our communities. They tell us how we should behave and treat each other. If everyone follows the ethics, then our neighborhoods, schools, towns and cities can be happy, safe places.
One of the most basic social ethics is being honest and not lying or cheating. I always try hard to tell the truth because lies can really hurt people and mess things up. Like if I cheated on a test, that wouldn't be fair to the kids who studied properly. Or if I stole something, that would be taking away what belongs to someone else which is wrong.
Speaking of stealing, another big social ethic is respecting other people's property and belongings. I always ask before borrowing someone's toys or snacks because those things aren't mine.
