1、Are you joking 你在开玩笑吗?用来表示数偶啊人对对方所说的话感到惊讶或不信。

7、I wish I were in Australia now. 我希望我现在在澳大利亚。

I were in Australia 是虚拟语气指与客观事实不相符或不能够实现的事情。

与现在情况向反的虚拟语气中,从句的谓语动词用过去式,常用were。

If Iwere you, I would try my best to grasp the chance. 如果我是你,我会尽最大努力抓住这次时机。

wish v. 与hope 同义
1〕wish to do = hope to do
2〕wish that 从句表示难以实现的愿望,用虚拟语气 hope that 从句表示有信心或有把握实现的愿望 3〕可用wish sb. to do
不可用hope sb. to do
wish n. 希望,愿望,祝愿
Thank you for your kind wish. 感谢你的美好祝愿。

8、probably adv. 可能,或许,大概同义词:maybe perhaps
常放于句首或句中。

在句中时,常放在实义动词之前,be动词,助动词,情态动词之后

bet ter get going = We’d better get going.

It is possible that it’ll be snowy tomorrow.
3. probably 和 possibly adv. 表示可能性
主语 + will + probably / possibly + do

Grammar 过去进行时〔2〕
过去进行时和时间状语从句连用,三个引导词 when, while和as的区别:
一、when 从句即可指点时间,也可指段时间;既可以是瞬间性动作,也可以是持续性动作。

1、When Henry was working in a restaurant, a snake suddenly appeared and bit his hand. 当亨利正在饭店工作的时候,一条蛇突然出现,并咬了他一口。

2、I was trying to pick it up when it bit me again.我正要捡起它,突然它又咬了我一下。

二、while 从句只能是时间段,连接持续性动词
1、While the snake was lying on the table, Henry quickly picked up his mobile phone and took
a photo with it. 当蛇躺在桌子上时,亨利迅速拿起他的拍了一张照片。

2、While she was falling, she was thinking about her cat. 往下坠落时,她在想她的猫。

While the wife was cooking, the husband was watching TV.
三、as 从句等同于when和while的第一个用法
1、As he was lying there in great pain, Henry suddenly remembered the photo. 当他极度疼痛的躺在那时,亨利突然记起了那张照片。

2、Alice sang happily as she walked along the river. 爱丽丝一边沿着河边走,一边开心地唱着歌。

3、You will grow wiser as you grow older. 随着年龄的增长,你会更加聪明。
