Promotion Application Report
Dear leaders:
Hello! My name is XXX, and I am a member of XX with three certificates. I have been working in the XX round for more than half a year. Here, from the initial integration to the current familiarity in work, I have become more mature, and I have also exercised my ability while studying. The most basic thing is the emergency response to various emergencies that I have to face when I am on duty. ability.
Of course, during this period of time, I not only did my own job as a first officer, but also worked hard to learn the business of the second officer in my spare time. I often followed the second officer to do some maintenance, maintenance, inspection and maintenance of life-saving, fire-fighting and other equipment. Records; also read some books on secondary business. Under the training and guidance of my captain and chief mate, I have acquired the ability to be a second mate. The following are some of my understandings after learning the second deputy function and business:
1. Maintain a strong sense of responsibility to make navigation safer: As a pilot, the most basic responsibility is
to ensure the safety of the ship during the watch, which is also the top priority, especially as a new second mate. The captain of my ship always taught us: this is not an ordinary job. Under the pressure from all sides, we cannot relax in the slightest, and we must always be vigilant. During the voyage, it may just be because of a fishing float, or an inconspicuous little spot on the planned route on the chart (there was a second officer who didn't pay attention when drawing the route, and this little spot was an island out of the sea) , but due to our carelessness, it will cause irreparable loss of life and property to others and to ourselves. Therefore, the captain often emphasizes in the safety meeting: everyone must maintain a sense of responsibility when dealing with everything, especially for our kind of work. This is responsible for oneself, but also for family, others, company and society.
As the new second mate, because of the lack of experience on duty alone on the bridge, it will cause more or less psychological pressure. Especially for coastal navigation, the ship is relatively close to the shore, the water depth is relatively shallow, there are many fishing boats, fishing nets, fishing floats, and even some small islands. At this time, as a second mate, you must be calm. Use the learned collision
avoidance knowledge to strengthen the lookout and strengthen the connection with the passing ships. For some small objects on the bow, the radar may be difficult to catch in the blind spot, and the visual lookout is uncertain. At this time, it should be determined that there is this target, so avoid it as soon as possible. From time to time, use the radar's
long-distance range scanning to find out what kind of encounters the target mark may have in advance, so that you can be aware of it. According to the characteristics of our ship's navigation area, it is mainly coastal navigation, especially in the coastal areas of China, where there are many ships and many fishing boats, so we should contact other ships as soon as possible to confirm how the two ships will meet; in Vietnam, Thailand, etc. Since there will be rafts similar to bath tubs along the coast, it is difficult for radar to scan them. At this time, the second officer must strengthen the lookout, and at the same time tell the sailor on duty to be careful when looking, and if there is any discovery, please inform the driver in time; The tugboat must not pass through the middle of the two boats when evading, and a sufficient safety distance should be kept at the stern of the boat. The ship should be early, wide, wide and clear, and the original course can be restored only after
the sailing has completely passed and confirmed that there is no danger of collision.
2. When taking over from the bridge, you should first locate and check the current position of the ship, observe the dynamics of the passing ships around the ship, especially at night, check whether the stern is hung with fishing floats or other floating objects, and Obstacles such as shipwrecks, islands, fishing traps, etc. After that, check whether the navigation aids are working properly (the navigation lights must be checked here, because our ship often carries dangerous goods, so don't forget DANGEROUS LIGHT). Take over after the vision is fully adapted to the night light and the dynamics of the surrounding ships are understood. During the voyage, there will be many special situations, such as foggy navigation. When the visibility is less than 3 nautical miles, the captain should be notified to get on the bridge and the engine room to prepare for the car. At this time, the navigation lights should be turned on in time, the radar and VHF should be adjusted, and the VHF should be used. Report the ship's dynamics and monitor surrounding ships, strengthen contact with surrounding ships, obey the captain's orders, communicate the connection between the captain and the engine room in a timely manner, and notify the chief mate to
prepare anchors at the bow of the ship when the visibility is less than 2 nautical miles. Due to the dense number of small fishing boats, and the small fishing floats and fishing targets, they cannot be detected until they are very close, so we must strengthen the lookout. When you find that there are many fishing boats and you are not sure, you should immediately notify the captain to get on the bridge, and don't act recklessly!
3. As for the equipment on the bridge, the driver must understand and be familiar with it, such as the basic operation of the car clock; the opening of the steering gear and the performance of the rudder, the conversion of automatic, manual and emergency rudder; the operation of the track recorder; Calculation of electromagnetic compass difference; turn-on adjustment of ARPA radar, method of capturing objects, vector conversion, display mode conversion, how to tune to the best scanning state; switching of navigation lights, signal lights, and deck work lights; sound signals (usually sirens). ) position and switch; the position of the signal flag; the opening and reading method of the depth sounder; the use method of VHF, etc. These are all things that must be mastered. Only when the third officer is familiar with these equipment can they
assist the captain in executing the sailing instructions on the bridge. At the same time, as the new second officer, when operating the clock, you should pay attention to being fast and slow, and clearly repeat the order of the clock before manually operating the clock. When the clock is in the STOP position, focus on hearing the AHEAD or ASTERN behind it. When approaching or leaving the pier, the captain will usually issue orders on the sides of the two wings outside the bridge, and may use the walkie-talkie to give orders. At this time, you must be highly focused, pay attention to the captain's actions, and listen carefully when you see him holding the walkie-talkie. implement. It's better to slow down than to reverse the order.
The above are some of my understandings after the XX round of study, but they are not complete. I hope that the leaders can give opinions and correct me after reading it. I will continue to strengthen my studies and strive to do better. After becoming a pilot, I will lead by example even more, always reminding myself to set a good example for the sailors and interns below, and to live up to the leadership expectations.
I believe that after being promoted by your company, my life will start a new journey. I will meet new challenges with full enthusiasm and fighting spirit!
So far, congratulations! Applicant: XX Written in the XX round of XXXX year X month X。
