● If you update same calendar entries both on Google and Lotus Notes, GooCalSync put Lotus Notes before Google to overwrite Google calendar entries.

What's GooCalSync ?
● GooCalSync is a calendar synchronization tool between Lotus Notes and Google which runs on Lotus Notes client. You don't need to ask your Domino server administrator to install software or change any settings. No need to use Lotus Domino Designer client as well.

– GooCalSync uses Google Calendar API Java Library which requres JVM 1.5 and later.
Install (1/3)
● Install JVM/JRE 1.5 and later – You can get JDK/JRE 1.6 install module at SUN web site. ● /javase/ja/6/download.html
– Create a folder to which goocalsync zip file is extracted. ● ex） C:\MyData\GooCalSync

● Edit “goocalsync.bat”
– Edit goocalsync.bat file to change file path of JDK/JRE, Lotus Notes and GooCalSync related files.

3. About initializing ID Matching Document – GooCalSync has ID Matching Documents which have iCalendar UID on Google side and UNID of Lotus Notes Document to identify each calendar entry's relationship. – ID Matching Document view is displayed to push the button below.
– Below is a sample of “goocalsync.bat” on the environment in which JDK1.6 is installed, Lotus Notes is installed to C:\Lotus \Notes, extracted goocalsync zip file to C：\MyData\GooCalSync.
● Get GooCalSync – Download “goocalsync_vx.x.zip” from following URL.
● /Projects/pmt.nsf/ProjectView?ReadForm&CollapseView&Query=GooCalSync~Releases
– When you change Google account or Lotus Notes user, existing ID Matching Documents is not needed anymore. So you can delete those to reduce GooCalSync.nsf file size.
● You might get the following error message intermittently on initializing process. In this case, trying again would get rid of the error at most time.
● You can use GooCalSync to – synchronize any add, update, delete calendar entries bi-direction. – manage your personal & business schedule on both Lotus Notes and Google. – synchronize Notes calendar to other system via Google calendar. I mean, nowadays there are many tools providing synchronization function between Google calendar and iPhone, Windows Mobile, iCal on Mac, Sunbird, etc.

● Create GooCalSync Lotus Notes DB – Copy GooCalSync.ntf in goocalsync zip file to Lotus Notes data directory. – On Lotus Notes client、push “Ctrl + N” to create GooCalSync.nsf from template GooCalSync.ntf under Lotus Notes data directory (subdirectory is not supported).
● Calendar entries which are created on Google and transferred to Lotus Notes cannot be changed start or end time through Lotus Notes dialog box. Changing by drag & drop on Lotus Notes calendar view is available to use to change start & end time properly.

1. Open GooCalSync.nsf to enter parameters aligned to your environment. Then click save button.

2. Execute GooCalSync.bat to synchronize. It is useful to create customized button on a tool bar like below.

Limitation
● Recurrence calendar entries (weekly, monthly, etc) are synchronized on one-way, Lotus Notes to Google only. Calendar entries which are created or updated on Google side are not applied to Lotus Notes by GooCalSync.
