(2) Play the recording twice and ask the students to complete the shopping list.
Please listen to the recording carefully and complete the shopping list.
I am pleased to see your wonderful pictures. I feel very excited.
Write the new words on the blackboard: wonderful, such as, interesting, cool, pleased, feel and excited. Read the new words together with the students ,at the same time ask the students to give the Chinese meaning of these words.
Invite some students to read their presents list and then ask them to talk about their favourite present.
Step 2 Presentation
Ask: Millie is going to have a birthday party. There are many kinds of food in the party. What would you like to eat?
(3) Ask the students to read the dialogue together, then play roles in the dialogue and act out the dialogue.
Step 4 Discussion
Discuss with your neighbours about what present you want to buy for Millie’s birthday.
