但在我们运用中应注意以下的几个问题。
1、处理好集体教学与小组合作学习的时间分配。
在目前的英语教学实践中，只有把合作学习与集体教学有效结合在一起，才更有助于提高英语课堂学习的效率，人数较多的班级，处理好二者之间的时间分配关系尤为重要。
在课堂教学过程中，教师须根据所教的内容，对小组学习和集体教学所需要的时间进行科学有效地合理分配。
2、教师应明确合作学习的任务。
刚展开小组合作学习时，在课堂上常会出现学生因不清楚要干什么而乱作一团的局面，这会令教师措手不及。
因此，每次展开小组合作学习时，教师首先要提出明确的任务和要求，让学生围绕某一主题展开合作。
教师所提的要求要有梯度，在学生还没有完全适应小组合作学习这种形式时，不要提太高的要求，要随着学生合作技能的熟练，逐渐增加要求。
