阅读课的目的在于培养学生的阅读能力:skimming for general comprehension and scanning for detailed information,因此本节课首先设计了提问学生文章的主旨和两个一目了然的问题---三个哲学家是谁,及他们所生活的年代先后,需要学生快速阅读找出答案。

通过填写表格考查学生对文章细节的理解。
