一. 概述:同位语从句就是在复合句中作名词的同位语的名词性从句。

二.同位语从句的功能是连词,只起连接主句与从句的作用,不充当句中任何成分。

period:one is on Page 17 in the Student's Book and the other is on Page 57 in the Workbook.The first one is a conversation between two people,Xiao Qing and Rachel.They expressed their ideas about cloning in the conversation.It includes examples of the focus function for this unit:acceptance and refusal.While listening to the dialogue for the first time the students are asked to decide which statements in Exercise 1 are mentioned in the conversation.Then students are required to listen to the tape again and then work with a partner to fill in the chart.The aim of the listening is for students to examine the issue of whether experimenting with animals is cruel or not.This is a moral issue which many people feel very strongly about.So give students a chance to think of their own points of view and make sure they have enough time to do Exercise 3.This will make sure this topic is examined fully.The second one involves cloning mammals.This is an opportunity for students to
