Thirteen countries in the world have a huge population of over one hundred millio n. China has the largest population with about 1.4 billio n. That’s almost one fifth of the world’s populatio n.
The world’s population is growing faster and faster. How many babies are born every year in the world? Oh, hang on for a while. Let me have a look at my notes that I prepared last week. A report said that there are more than 131.4 million births every year in the world.
Population increase can cause lots of problems, such as the lack(缺乏) of food and fresh water, too much noise, too much traffic and less living space and so o n. So some countries in the world are doing much work to control(控制) population growth. What’s your idea? Can you give us a report?
