The Tao Te Ching is one of the most influential books in the world, and its significance transcends both time and culture. Reading itfor the first time was an eye-opening experience for me as I sought to understand the ancient philosophy of Taoism. In this book, the author Lao Tzu provides a wealth of wisdom on how to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. One of the main themes of the Tao Te Ching is the concept of the Tao, or the Way. The Tao is the natural order of the universe, and it is the path that all things follow. It is ineffable, and cannot be fully expressed in words. However, Lao Tzu implores us to seek the Tao within ourselves, and to align our actions with its principles. This involves letting go of our desire for control and embracing the uncertainty of life.Another recurring theme of the Tao Te Ching is the concept of wu-wei, or non-action. This is not inaction in the literal sense, but rather the idea of effortless action. It means that we should act in accordance with the Tao, without forcing our will upon the world. When we are in alignment with the Tao, our actions become natural and effortless, just like the flow of water. The Tao Te Ching also emphasizes the importance of humility and simplicity. Lao Tzu suggests that we should strive for simplicity in our lives, and avoid excess and luxury. He argues that a simple life is a happier life, and that excessive material possessions lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety. Furthermore, he reminds us of the importance of humility, as pride and ego only serve to separate us from the Tao.The book also touches upon the importance of balance and harmony. The Tao Te Ching suggests that we should strive for balance in all aspects of our lives, including our emotions, actions, and relationships. We should avoid extremes and seek to achieve a harmonious state of being. When we are in balance, we are in harmony with the Tao, and our lives become more fulfilling and meaningful. In conclusion, the Tao Te Ching provides valuable insights on how to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. Its teachings are timeless, and relevant to people of all cultures and backgrounds. By embracing the principles of the Tao, we can find greater happiness, inner peace, and fulfillment in our lives. Overall, reading the Tao Te Ching was a transformative experience that has provided me with a new perspective on life.。

Every chapter delivers the most philosophical ideas and wise thoughts of Lao Tzu, which have a big impact on the Chinese culture and thinking of my country. As a Chinese, I have read this book countless times, and it has been a source of great inspiration for me. It guides me through life with its rich wisdom and profound truth. No matter how complicated or difficult the situation seems to be, Tao Te Ching can provide a simple but effective solution.I am deeply impressed by the thoughts of living in harmony with nature. Lao Tzu said that “The sage operates without action and carries things to completion without possession.” This means we can be successful without doing too much — if we act in accordance with nature's rules, the rest will come naturally. That's why we should aim to live in harmony with nature and avoid doing anything that harms it.Soft, yielding and humble is another idea of Tao Te Ching which resonates with me. As a Chinese, humility is a virtue that I should possess, and it is also important to stay agile and flexibe in life. 能断金刚第十章心识无垢更健康读后感

能断金刚第十章心识无垢更健康读后感英文版Reflections on "Mindfulness Without Impurities Leads to Better Health" - Chapter 10 of "Cutting Through the Diamond"After reading the tenth chapter of "Cutting Through the Diamond," titled "Mindfulness Without Impurities Leads to Better Health," I was left with a profound sense of understanding and inspiration. This chapter explores the connection between our inner state of mind and our physical well-being, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a pure and untainted consciousness. The author elegantly weaves together ancient wisdom and modern scientific research to illuminate the mechanisms by which our thoughts and emotions impact our physical health. The chapter begins by reminding us that our minds are powerful creators, shaping not only our perceptions but also our reality. When our minds are clouded by negativity, stress, and impurities, our bodies suffer as a result. Conversely, when our minds are clear and free from impurities, we experience a state of inner peace and harmony that promotes optimal health and well-being.One of the most striking insights from this chapter is the recognition that our thoughts and emotions are not separate from our bodies; they are deeply intertwined. Our minds constantly send signals to our bodies, instructing them how to respond to the world. When our minds are filled with negativity, our bodies respond with stress and tension. On the other hand, when our minds are filled with positivity and love, our bodies respond with relaxation and healing. The chapter goes on to explore practical methods for purifying our minds and cultivating a state of mindfulness. It encourages us to take time for self-reflection, to examine our thoughts and emotions, and to let go of any negativity that we encounter. By doing so, we can create a space within our mindsthat is free from impurities, allowing us to experience a deeper sense of peace and tranquility.Furthermore, the chapter reminds us of the importance of maintaining a positive mindset, even in the face of challenges and difficulties. By choosing to focus on the bright side of life, we can transform our challenges into opportunities for growth and transformation. This positive mindset not only improves our mental well-being but also has a profound impact on our physical health. In conclusion, the tenth chapter of "Cutting Through the Diamond" has left me with a renewed understanding of the profound connection between our minds and bodies. It has taught me the importance of cultivating a pure and untainted consciousness, and has inspired me to make a conscious effort to maintain a positive mindset in order to promote optimal health and well-being. I believe that by applying the principles discussed in this chapter, we can all transform our lives for the better and create a healthier, happier world.中文版《能断金刚》第十章“心识无垢更健康”读后感阅读《能断金刚》的第十章“心识无垢更健康”后,我深感启发和理解。

He was fromYingshan,Hubei,China, living from 970 to 1051 AD. His method replaced panels of printing blocks with moveable individual Chinese characters that could be reused. The first moveable Chinese Characters were carved into clay and baked into hard blocks that were then arranged onto an iron frame that was pressed against an iron plate. The earliest mention of Bi Sheng’s printing press is in the bookDream Pool Essays, written in 1086 by Shen Kuo, who noted that his nephews came into possession of Bi Sheng’s typefaces (字体) after his death. Shen Kuo explained that Bi Sheng did not use wood because the texture is inconsistent (不一致的) and absorbs wetness too easily.By the time of the Southern Song Dynasty, which ruled from 1127 to 1279 AD, books had become popular in society and helped create a scholarly class of citizens who had the capabilities to become civil servants. Large printed book collections also became a status symbol for the wealthy class.1. When was Bi Sheng’s printing press first introduced in history?A. After Bi Sheng died and his nephews owned his typefaces.B. When books became popular in the Southern Song Dynasty.C. After the block printing was replaced by the moveable type printing.D. WhenThe Diamond Sutrawas printed into a book.2. What can we infer from the passage?A. Shen Kuo made great contributions to printing.B. The moveable type printing was invented earlier than block printing.C. Printed books were hard to get in the Song Dynasty.D. By the Southern Song Dynasty, books had helped people get to higher social positions.3. Why does the author write this passage?A. To show that Buddhism was popular in the Tang Dynasty.B. To introduce the early history of printing.C. To memorize Bi Sheng, developing the moveable type printing.D. To indicate the advantages of moveable type printing.BOne billion people in the world are short of water. How can this problem be solved. Some suggestions have been to desalinate ocean water or to build enormous water pipelines from areas where water is abundant. (Suggestions such as these prove extremely expensive when they are actually used.) One possibility that scientists are considering is pulling icebergs from either the North Pole or the South Pole to parts of the world with a water shortage. Although many questions must be answered before such a project could be tried, moving icebergs seems a reasonable possibility in the future.Engineers, mathematicians, and glaciologists from a dozen countries have been considering the iceberg as a future source of water. Saudi Arabia is particularly interested in this project because it has a great water shortage. Scientists estimate that it would take 128 days to transport a large iceberg (about 1/2 square mile) to Saudi Arabia. Yet the iceberg would be completely melted by the 104th day. Therefore, insulation would be essential, but how to insulate the iceberg remains an unsolved problem. The problems in transporting an iceberg are numerous. The first problem is choosing the iceberg to pull. The icebergs that form in the North Pole are quite difficult to handle because of their shape. Only a small portion extends above the water — most of the iceberg is below the surface, which would make it difficult to pull. South Pole icebergs, on the other hand, are flat and float like table tops. Thus they would be much easier to move. How can a 200-million-ton iceberg be moved. No ship is strong enough to pull such enormous weight through the water. Perhaps several ships could be used. Attaching ropes to an iceberg this size is also an enormous problem. Engineers think that large nails or long metal rods could be driven into the ice. What would happen if the iceberg splits into several pieces during the pulling. Even if an iceberg with very few cracks were chosen, how could it be pulled through stormy waters. Furthermore, once the iceberg reached its destination, very few ports would be deep enough to store it.All of these problems must be solved before icebergs can become a reasonable source of water. Yet scientists estimate that it will be possible to transport them in the near future. Each year, enough icebergs form to supplythe whole world with fresh water for a full year. In addition, icebergs are free and nonpolluting. As a solution to the world’s water problems, icebergs may be a workable possibility.4. What is a problem in transporting iceberg?A. The Below Zero icecream machine uses a unique technique to freeze alcohol, which allows you to turn beers, cocktails and even spirits (烈酒) into delicious soft —serve ice cream.Rogers was trying to create a highly — caffeinated espresso ice cream flavor when he realized hecould use the same technique with alcoholic beverages. He started experimenting with various gums and stabilizers commonly used in the ice cream industry and eventually patented something called the NEA gel. It’s this magical concoction (调制品) that allows the alcohol to freeze to a near solid inside the Below Zero ice cream machine.Even though Below Zero changes the texture (质地) of beer, cocktails and even spirits, essentially turning them into soft —serve ice cream, it does not affect the alcohol contentat all. The ABV (酒精度) remains exactly the same, which means you can get drunk on ice — cream just as you would on the same concoctions in liquid form. Will Rogers claims that it takes around 30 minutes for beer to go from liquid to ice cream form, but higheralcohol content drinks take longer. Essentially, the higher the alcohol level, the longer the wait. The American inventor plans to sell Below Zero ice cream machines to bars and breweries wanting to surprise their patrons. Metro reports that machines will sell for about 6,000.8. What’s the name of the machine which can change beer and spirits into ice cream?A. Will RogersB. WDS Dessert StationsC. HinkleyD. Below Zero9. It takes 20 minutes for beer to change into ice cream.C. The higher the alcohol level, the shorter the wait will be.D. The machine changes the texture of beer, cocktails and even spirits.11. What can we infer from the passage?A. The machine affects the alcohol content.B. You can get drunk if you have ice—creams made from spirits.C. The American inventor doesn’t want to sell themagical machine.D. Bars and breweries will not become potential buyers of the machine.DWhat a day! No! No!” for emphasis. She claims she is only trying to protect me from what she calls “bad elements”.On a sunny day, Mom rejected my request to go to West Indian Day Parade and insisted I accompany her as she worked cleaning a large house. I followed her to a grand dining room, watching her apply lemon-scented polish to the furniture. I imagined my friends dressing up in fancy costumes, enjoying the celebratory time at the parade. I glared at my mother, hoping she could feel the anger I was directing her way.But as I watched, my emotions began to change. I noticed how tenderly she rubbed her dusting cloth along a large piano in the corner. “Is this like your piano in Guyana, Mom?” I asked. “Yes. This baby grand piano is exactly like the one my Dad bought me when I was your age.” Her sigh was full of longing.I knew that my mother had been a talented pianist. I vaguely recalled dancing under the piano when she practiced for hours every day. Now she could barely play for our church choir because her fingers were gnarled from so many days spent cleaning other people’s homes.“Stop!” Mrs. Smithers, the homeowner, yelled, “That’s a very valuable instrument!”“I am well aware of that.” she said slowly, “I play for my church.”“But that’s not a church-music piano. We play classical music on that piano.”I watched as my mother’s eyes narrowed and her face tightened. I felt the same tightening in my chest.“You don’t know anything about us … or pianos!” I screamed. Immediately I worried I had done something wrong, but I also felt the tightening in my chest loosened.I waited for my mother to blame me, but instead she glanced my way, smiling proudly. “That’s all I have time for today. My daughter and I are going to the parade. Come on, love.”“But Veronica, you will return next week, right?”“No!” said my mother, “No! No! No!”56.The underlined word “gnarled” in paragraph 4 probably means .A. rough and twistedB. clean and swiftC. painful but sensitiveD. bent but flexible57.What do you know about the mother according to the article?A. In this way, you are showing that you’re much qualified to give an honest assessment. Strong letters give positive descriptions of your qualifications in a concise and powerful way, which creates a professional and trustworthy image of you.#2: Being Customized to the New PositionWhile you should speak to the candidate’s accomplishments in his past role, you should also show why he’d make a good fit in the next one.You should explain why he has the desired ability to do the job well, and attach the greatest importance to this, even if the candidate’s making a career change. The candidate should provide you with everything you need to know to customize your letter. By drawing on this information, you can express confidence that the candidate will succeed in the new role. Then when the hiring manager reads your letter, he’ll feel reassured that the candidate would make a good fit.#3: Using Specific ExamplesFinally, your letter should provide specific examples about the candidate.Don’t just list adjectives like, “friendly, intelligent, and hard-working”; instead, present circumstances in which the candidate demonstrated those qualities. Not only will examples point to the value the candidate brought to your organization or company, but they’ll also paint a picture of how he works in day-to-day ing two to three specific examples in your letter will boost its level of persuasiveness.60. Customizing the letter with eye-catching drawings.D. Showing the candidate’s intelligence with examples.(C)Alain Aspect,a French physicist, who won a long-expected Nobel Physics Prize on Tuesday (October 4, 2022), contributed a lot in proving the theory of quantum entanglement (量子缠绕), a theory — famously raised by Albert Einstein — that when a particle (粒子) is split into two, the properties of the two new particles remain connected, as if by an invisible piece of string, regardless of how far apart they are. It remained a theory until Aspect and his team proved it in a laboratory experiment for the first time in 1981, involving two photons (光子) at a distance of 12 meters.Quantum strangeness has fascinated Aspect as a physicist. Awarded along with Austrian physicist Anton Zeilinger and John Clauser from the United States, Aspect emphasised the importance of international scientific cooperation. “He is one of those professors in physics. A whole community today works under his leadership,” said Retailleau, a former president of Paris-Saclay University. “Aspect is also a ‘tireless teacher’ who gives impressive lectures”, she added. His former student Olivier Reymond, who is now working on developing a quantum processor, said, “As well as passing his passion for physics on to his students, Aspect is also a food lover who will tell you all about his recipes for the goose liver.”Alain Aspect is widely recognized for his experimental test of Bell’s inequalities, proposed by the late John Bell in 1964, and the related tests require measurements to be made on photons moving apart in opposite directions to look for connections between some of their physical properties, for instance, their polarizations. Aspect’s major contribution was to propose a feasible experimental scheme to make these measurements by rapidly changing the orientation of polarizers while photons moved through the device, and even more importantly, to implement it successfully in his experiments.Sheila Rowan, president of the Institute of Physics which publishes Physics World, congratulated the team on their “well-deserved” recognition. “This is an area of physics with ongoing, profound impact, at a fundamental level to help understand the world around us and being explored for use in highly novel technologies for sensing and communication today,” she added.Indeed, Aspect’s experiments have attracted enormous attention and triggered a string of theoretical and experimental work on quantum entanglement. As a result, new avenues have been explored in quantum computers, which in principle could outperform traditional computers at some tasks. We are generating more data now than ever before, need to analyse that data in more complex ways, and get results out faster. Quantum computing could help us to find new properties in the production of new materials for everyday use and it could also reduce power consumption within the manufacturing process. With quantum computing, research can be moved from the lab onto the computer where multiple imitations can be run while stretching your companies research and development budget further.63. Therefore, it is an international agreement to allow for minor errors during the research and development process,” said Weng Guanxi, a lawyer at a Shanghai-based law firm. The regulation gives a clear definition of AI and the AI industry and encourages innovative activities in the field by people, enterprises and organizations.70 In 2021, the combined output value of AI enterprises above a designated size, or with an annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($16.85 million) or above, reached 305 billion yuan, 2.28 times that of 2018, according to China Securities Journal. The number of talented professionals working in the AI field in Shanghai has soared from 100,000 in 2018 to 230,000 in 2021, said a Xinhua News Agency report.IV. Use your own words as for as possible.Out of Sight, Out of MindTechnology has made paying all sorts of bills incredibly easy. The real-time budget apps, which capture our spending and pay our bills automatically, should theoretically give us more control over our money. But why, in real life, do they do the opposite? It helps to think about how we used to pay. My parents describe a process that would involve three separate points of contact whenever they paid for something with a credit card: first, at the cash register, then when a bill came in the mail and finally when they wrote a check to cover it. While each of the checkpoints is technically still there, automation has given us a chance to skip the second and the third. For bills paid automatically through a banking app, even the first checkpoint can be gone. We know that it is happening in the background, but it’s so far out of view that it might as well not be there. How do we get that connection back, without giving up the convenience that technology has brought us?The good news is that though technology has taken away something, it can also give. Much of the battle is simply recognizing what we’ve lost. If we want to be smart about our money and have thorough control over it, we need to bridge that gap between what we spend on and how much we pay. We can start using personal-finance apps to do more than make our lives easier. These apps can send us notifications when each automatic payment is being made and categorize purchases, sending us instant spending reports. Admittedly, those tools require the user to sign up for these services and make conscious efforts to take full advantage of them. In this way, they are arguably better practice than balancing a checkbook on a Saturday morning.V. 《肖申克的救赎》观后感英文篇1Shawshank Redemption is a film co-operated by white people and black people. It told a story about the life in the prison.A man called Andy Dufresne, was sent into the prison, Shawshank, for he murderer his wife and her lover in bed. However, he was innocent as he said. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel. A month later, Andy began to make friends with other prisoners. One of them called Red, who could get anything what he wanted.Andy bought a mallet from him and started his plan to escape. During this time, he did many things: expanding the library, caving stones, making tainted money for the prison governor, etc. It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested. Several years later, Red was approved to leave. He had lived inside for 40 years. He was institutionized.Sometimes he thought of getting back again as he didn’t belong the world, but he didn’t, for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.It is a good film. The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me. The story goes to a happy ending---redemption.《肖申克的救赎》观后感英文篇2Based on the Stephen King (non-horror)novella “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption”, this is a simple story of hope made remarkable by the interaction between the two lead characters. Both Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman do a fine job in terms of making their roles genuine and appealing, and also in the way they work so well together. The production values throughout are outstanding, but this is not a “fancy” film.Rather, it sticks to the story it is telling without resorting to flashy tricks to grab the audience’s attention. Although there is violence, some of it extreme, it is necessary to show the kind of place the prison is and is certainly not gratuitous. The main theme is hope, not despair, and the violence serves only as a backdrop to that message. Unashamedly a feelgood movie, by the end one is wishing only that it would continue for a few more moments.《肖申克的救赎》观后感英文篇3Based on the Stephen King (non-horror)novella “Rita Hayworth and t he Shawshank Redemption”, this is a simple story of hope made remarkable by the interaction between the two lead characters. Have you ever felt that way about hope? Hope is the only thing in the wild world not carved out of gray stone. Hope is a small place inside of us anyone can never lock away. That is what I’ve learnt from an excellent movie The Shawshank Redemption. The story begins in 1947, when Andy Dufresne, a city banker, is wrongfully convicted of his wife and her lover. He is sent to Shawshank prison and receives a double life sentence for the crime. In shawshank, Andy forms an extraordinary friendship with Red, a man who knows how to get things from the outside. Andy gets a 5 inches long rockhammer and a huge poster from Red, by which he secretly puts his pipedream into practice. After 20 years digging, Andy tunnels through the prison wall. Then he crawls 500 yards through the sewer and gets out into a ditch near the field beyond the ground of Shawshank, with no equipment, no one knows. On the first viewing, it’s the story of Andy and his struggle to maintain hope despite his circumstances. However, this is really a movie about Red and his struggle to find meaning and purpose. It seems that we are more or less similar with Red, because we’ve got used to the gray walls around us, whichstand for routine, and then more routine. If one day, these walls dessolve away, we’ll be afraid instead of free. We’re afraid of not being ruled? That sounds ridiculous, but we actually are! Fortunately, when Red is faced with the same situation as we are, because of Andy, he can find a different path—the path of freedom that is lit by hope.Sometimes, we feel many things have let us down and don’t hope for the good anymore. But I have to say, suffering is not always a bad thing. Suffering produces perseverance, character, and character, hope. If we can see hope through all the hardship, nothing’s gon na stop us marching towards victory!Hope is the chief happiness the world affords. Hope encourages people to keep fighting for dreams, freedom and dignity. Hope helps people to appreciate the beauty of life. “He once is born, that is die.” Everyone is the same. The only difference is whether you get a busy living or a busy dying. Remember we aren’t the birds that meant to be caged, when we spread our wings and fly away, we’ll appreciate the trembling of the heart, the singing of the mind, the flying of the soul and the hope to be free.《肖申克的救赎》观后感英文篇5Based on the Stephen King (non-horror) novella “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption”, this is a simple story of hope made remarkable by the interaction between the two lead characters. On the contrary, they arise from the inner needs of human beings, thepursuit of eternal values, and the inspection and discovery of the constantlychanging objective world. And only then will God, or religion and faith, guideyou through your own salvation and your own breakthrough. Ive been readingbuddhist altar sutra, six ancestors huineng founded to "sex" sees the Chinesezen Buddhism, the root is also mastered chan is no longer a way, a kind oftheory, a kind of discipline, is no longer the outward things, but of lifeexists in the deep hearts core, which reflects the rationality of religiousnature. Unlike eastern Buddhas who seek ethereality and transcendence, WesternGods may be more fixated on original sin and redemption, but both are productsof the human mind.Andy with their wisdom and perseverance, finally completed the miracle ofthe escape, and let the warden get the deserved punishment. After he got out ofprison, why did he leave instead of following the usual Hollywood logic andtrying to prove his innocence?Because God exists within. Sin and non-sin, at the level of the soul, thereis no need to prove but to constantly examine oneself! When asked again if hehad been reinvented before being paroled, Rhett said frankly, "Reinvented? Idont quite understand the meaning of this word. I used to repent every day, notbecause I was here, or because you thought I should repent. I tried to tell theyoung man who had sinned in the past what was right andwrong, but he could notfind it. Only the old man was left with white hair. The Shawshank Redemptionpointed out the way to salvation. God walks with the human soul at alltimes! In the name of religion, doctrine, law and even justice, many people inmodern society, like The warden NORTON, have lost their basic honesty andcharacter as a human being in the name of personal and group self-interest, inthe name of exculpation, rhetoric and sophistry. When a man is accustomed toacting and without introspection, he has fallen into the hell of eternaldamnation, let alone redemption!《肖申克的救赎》观后感英文篇8Abstract: This film Shawshank Redemption describes a man called Andy Dufresne was sent to the prison for he murdered his wife but in fact he was innocent. Then he started fighting against with the wicked prison life. Though he suffered many unfair treatments and ordeals, he never gives up himself. Due to his intelligence and perseverance, he spend 20 years successfully escape from the prison as a redemption. He teaches me that never lose hope. Keywords: hope; redemption; freedom; dreamThe story took place in 1940. A man who is a banker called Andy Dufresne, was sent into the Shawshank prison, for he murderer his wife and her lover in bed. However, he was innocent as he said. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel. Nevertheless, A month later, Andy began to make friends with other prisoners. And one of them called Red, who could get anything what he wanted. Andy bought a mallet from him and started his plan to escape. During this time, he did many things: expanding the library, caving stones, helping the corrupt warden to get money or bribe, etc. Then a young prisoner’s coming break his quiet life in jail. But the warden killed the young prisoner the only man that knew Andy was innocent. Then he knew the prison he could not stay any more. It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. When he got free, Andy sent the evident which could prove the warden corruption, briber and murdering to the policy agency. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested. Several years later, Red was approved to leave. for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me. The story goes to a happy ending---redemption. This film impressed me a lot. A sentence was said in the film: ’Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, but most birds will choose to stand it.’In this film, as we can see, the Shawshank Prison, which enjails lots of people. They have been in the prison form many years ,so they won’t go abroad. Because they won’t and also they can’t. They lived here for years without hope, and they lived just in the small prison, where nobody knows what is their dream and what’s their hope. As I remember, a old man Brooks was released after he had been in the jail for 50 years. But he found that the world became completely different from the world he imagined. For example, he seldom see cars before. He felt very strange and helpless to the outside world He can hardly adapt to the new developed world. He would rather stay in the prison. So unfortunately he chose to commit suicide. However, on the contrary, Andy said a converse sentence:’ Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, that"s all. Their feathersare just too bright’ He long for the freedom and strive for it! What I remember very clearly is someone said that These walls are kind of funny things like that. First, you hate them, then you get used to them. Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That is institutionalizing. But Andy hadn’t been affected. He insisted on his faith of freedom. He dared to pursue his deserved freedom! That’s the first point I appreciate. What’s more, another thing I think is friendship. Of course, Andy’s perseverance and endeavor is the main reason that he succeed in escaping. But it can’t be denying that friendship is also a important reason. Without the friends’ help in the prison, especially red’s, He can’t break the pr ison, too. Even in the jail which is the most evil place that Andy could make it a significance place. He had transformed a storage room smelling of turpentine into the best prison library in New England. Then the prisoners read the books and got knowledge from it. Andy also helped them to pass the high school equivalency. The glitters of him lighted others’ life. That helps him built many sincere friendships in the prison. He just too bright that didn’t belong to the prison .Then he escape and gained the freedom.Furthermore, the patience, courage and b willpower are the keys to escape. 20 years, not a short ordeal time, but he endured. He made his plan day by day, week by week and year by year. He never gives up. he took nearly twenty years to dip a tunnel with a little rock hammer which Red said it would take a man 600 years to tunnel under the wall with one of these to fight for his free .And he did it finally. Please imagine, crossing the tunnel he dup, he still should crawled through five hundred yards of shit-smelling foulness. That is the length of five football fields. Then is the last but not least, I think. He has the brightbrain ,the never fading persistent, and the most important thing----hope. Just as Andy said to Red: Hope is a good thing, may be the best of things. In this film, Andy show us that how good thing the hope is. Yes , hope is a good thing. Whatever it is, it can’t lock the hope. We all have dream. We all have hope. We all have it and please never give up, like Andy. This film, Shawshank Redemption, teaches me a lot. It deserves to be one of the most overwhelming films in the Hollywood.《肖申克的救赎》观后感英文篇9The story took place in 1947.the banker Andy, had misjudgment committed the crime of murder which suddenly pushed Andy’s life to a world of hell.He was sentenced to life imprisonment, sent to Shawshank . However, Andy did not give up hope successfully escaped from prison and gave free The story may sound simple, but the truth behind the words is remarkable. When I heard the name of the film first time, I considered the Shawshank to be a man’ name, but in face it is a jail——a hell in the world. Not only for the inhumanity of the jailors——they behaved rudely but also for the jail gnawed at people’ heart by keeping them waiting and waiting as life passed. It seemed that only those utterly worthless people who gave up everything could survive. That’s where the story happened. The part impressed me most is when Andy got out of the jail. He extended his arms in front of him in the heavy rain as if he were welcoming the fresh air and the freedom. At that moment, I saw the faith win the darkness, discharging light dazzling the eyes in the dark blue sky. Under the light, I could feel my recreant innermost being shivering as his voice said: “Remember, Hopeis a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!”That’s why I like this film: it encourages people to fig ht to preserve the dignity of human beings, to appreciate the beauty of life, and the most important is to keep hope forever. Everyone is the same. The only difference is whether busy living or busy dying.。
