He falls in love but isn't sure if he can experience it because he's different. Everything he does is practically ruined because he can't experience life when everything he touches is sliced into pieces. It's somewhat like a modern Frankenstein, but with Danny Elfman's haunting melodies replacing Victor's curses to the heavens, it's more keen on using subtlety.This is a classic because Edward just wants to fit in, which is exactly what we all want in life. There's a piece of Edward inside all of us, and we can feel Edward's pain as he struggles to fit in. This is a funny story, with Edward pruning hedges into T-Rexs, turning Husky dogs into poodles, and trimming flat and frizzy hair into works of art. This is a sad story, with Edward experiencing the death of his creator, the pain he's caused to everyone he's ever accidentally cut, and the way he won't be accepted into society. Perhaps more importantly, the success of The Kids furnished Depp with a rising sense of popularity and accomplishment - ironically shot down by Iggy Pop himself during a back-stage confrontation.Determination and hope for stardom inspired the band to relocate to Los Angeles. Depp married by age 20 to Lori Allison, the band's make-up artist. As his band struggled among the competitive West-coast market, Depp (under suggestion from his wife) decided to try acting. His career as a musician failed to skyrocket and he resorted toselling pens over the phone to make ends meet. A divorce soon followed. But during those years Johnny got a lucky break, Lori had introduced him to actor Nicolas Cage. Although at first they did not like each other, they became good friends. Nicolas convinced him to try acting and he signed on with Cage's agent. His first audition was for a part in Wes Craven's "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Mr. Craven asked his daughter who she thought should get the part of Glen and she picked Johnny.
