There is a tendency that the environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious. So it is time for humans to come up with some effective methods to limit humans influence on the environment so as to solve this serve problem.Ⅱ.The introduction of environmental pollutionWhen referred to the pollution, it is known for humans that the foundation of pollution can be dated back to the times when our ancestors created the first fire. However, the industrial revolution gave the birth to today’s environmental pollution. And then, it was the War World Ⅱthat made pollution draw the public attention, due to radiation fallout from atomic warfare and testing. And now, the problem of environmental pollution made our humans under an intangible pressure, which has already threatened our live hoods, especially in our health. The definition of the pollution is that the process or the state of being added dirty or harmful substances to land, air, water, etc. so that it is no longer pleasant or safe to use (Pollution - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary". . 2010-08-13 ).What’s more, pollutants, the components of pollution, which defines that a substance that pollutes something, especially air and water, also have a bad influence on ourliving standards.Ⅲ. The forms of pollutionThere are many forms of environmental pollution. The major forms of pollution include: air pollution, water pollution, light pollution, noise pollution, littering, soil contamination, visual pollution and thermal pollution. All above the pollution listed are have a bad influence on biosphere. Among those forms of pollution and is known for most of the people. Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, such as oceans, lakes, rivers and groundwater. Water pollution is caused by the pollutants, which are discharged directly or indirectly into the water bodies without being disinfected. Water pollution can affect organisms that live in this water body. And it damages not only to one organism but also to the natural biological communities. Nowadays, water pollution is a major global problem which needs many countries to pay more attention to it. Expect a large amount of pollution water, there are still some places lack of water. An estimated 90% of China’s cities suffer from some degree of water pollution, and nearly 700 million Indians have no access to a proper toilet, and, 1,000 Indian children die of diarrheal sickness every day. Not only in developing countries but also in developed countries are struggled with this sever problem of water pollution.Air pollution is another typical form when referred to the forms of pollution. Air pollution is caused by some chemicals, biological materials or particulate matter, which are discharged to damage to the natural environment and humans living condition into the atmosphere. It is also a destroying one that pollutes the environment.Ⅳ. The causes of pollutionThe causes of the current environmental pollution mainly include two aspects: human’s behavior and nature itself. From the natural aspect, there is little pollution than the human-made pollutants. Natural has a special existences of it is circulatory system, so it is acceptable for us that the pollution is the incidental consequence of the nature circulatory system. However, human’s behavior that is the most essential cause to produce. Nowadays, human-made pollutants have been a sever task to our humans. For example, some chemicals and particulates are released into the atmosphere and caused the air pollution, such as carbon which monoxide and dioxide which are produced by industry and motor vehicles; commercial and industrial waste often spill the waste water into surface waters, which are intentionally or unintentionally pollution. The noise pollution includes the noise in the roadway and the noise of the aircraft in the sky, even the industrial noise alsomade people feel disgusting. From above three examples we have known that pollution are caused by ourselves—our human behaviors (/wiki/Pollution#Sources_and_causes).Ⅴ. The effects of pollutionPollution always has bad effects on human beings. As we all know, the air quality, the ozone pollution or the water pollution can all cause some incurable disease and threaten our health. According to a data source, nearly 500 million Chinese lake accesses to safe drinking water; 656,000 people die prematurely each year in China because of air pollution (/wiki/Pollution#Effects). From these dates, we can know how terrible the pollution is and how sever situation is presented for our human beings. And pollution will also cause the species become invasive and extinct. Beside, soil will be unsuitable and infertile for plants so that it will affect other organism in the food web. Furthermore, the pollution can cause a natural disaster. For example, hurricanes may be caused from sewage of the water contamination. If coastal rigs or refineries occurred, there will be a larger scale or environmental damage.Ⅵ. Pollution controlSince the environmental pollution has become more and more serious, it is urgent to control and solve this serve problem. It wasa long time before that pollution began to draw public attention in some other countries. For example, between the mid-1950s and early 1970s in the United States Congress passed the Noise Control Act, (/wiki/Noise_Control_Act) the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and the National Environment policy Act(/wiki/National_Environmental_Policy_A ct) to control the pollution; Austrian built a little trap catches floating rubbish in the Ybarra River. ConclusionAs we all know, the pollution control is just a form to protect our polluted environment, it still need humans to take care of our environment instead of control it after being polluted. Without pollution control the waste products from agriculture mining, transportation and other human activities will influence our health and life. There is a growing tendency that there is an increasingly almost of people to take part in a environmental movement, which generally seek to limit human influence on the environment.
