1Certainly, here's an English essay about the teaching progress schedule for Grade 7 English textbook (Benevolence Edition) in the second semester, written from a primary school student's perspective. The length is around 2,000 words.Title: My Journey with the Grade 7 English Textbook (Benevolence Edition)Hello, fellow students! My name is Emily, and I'm here to share my exciting adventure with the Grade 7 English textbook (Benevolence Edition) for the second semester. Get ready for an engaging ride through the world of English learning! The semester started with Unit 6, "Exploring the Natural World." We learned about different habitats, animal behaviors, and the importance of environmental protection. It was fascinating to discover how animals adapt to their surroundings and how we can contribute to preserving our planet's beauty. My favorite part was the reading passage about the Great BarrierReef – it made me dream of snorkeling and witnessing the vibrant marine life firsthand! In Unit 7, "Celebrating Diversity," we embarked on a cultural journey. We learned about different festivals, traditions, and customs from around the world. It was an eye-opening experience to understand how people celebrate their unique identities. The role-play activity, where we acted out a traditional celebration, was a blast! I'll never forget dressing up in colorful attire and sharing the joy of diversity with my classmates.Next up was Unit 8, "Healthy Habits, Happy Life." This unit taught us the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle. We learned about nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being. The dialogues about making healthy food choices were particularly helpful, and I even started packing my own nutritious lunches for school. The fitness challenge at the end of the unit was exhausting but so much fun!Unit 9, "Exploring Careers," opened our eyes to the vast array of career possibilities. We learned about different professions, the skills required, and how to prepare for our future careers. The interview simulations were incredibly insightful, and I gained valuable experience in presenting myself professionally. I'm nowconsidering becoming a veterinarian or an environmental scientist! In Unit 10, "Technology and Innovation," we delved into the fascinating world of modern advancements. We explored topics like artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and cutting-edge inventions. The project-based learning activity, where we designed our own innovative solutions to real-world problems, was a highlight. It ignited my passion for problem-solving and creative thinking. Finally, we reached Unit 11, "Building Relationships." This unit focused on interpersonal skills, communication, and conflict resolution. The role-plays about handling disagreements and expressing emotions were incredibly useful. I learned the importance of active listening and empathy in maintaining healthy relationships. The unit also taught us valuable life lessons about respect, kindness, and understanding.Throughout the semester, we engaged in various interactive activities, such as group discussions, presentations, and language games. These not only made learning English more enjoyable but also helped us develop our speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.Looking back, I can confidently say that the Grade 7 English textbook (Benevolence Edition) has been an incredible companion on my journey of language learning. It opened my eyes to diverse cultures, equipped me with valuable life skills, and ignited my curiosity about the world around me.I can't wait to continue my English learning adventure in the next grade. Who knows what exciting topics and activities await us? One thing is for sure – with the guidance of this amazing textbook series, the path to fluency in English will be an unforgettable and enriching experience!篇2My Seventh Grade English Class ScheduleHey there! I'm really excited to share with you all about the awesome English curriculum we're going to cover this semester in my 7th grade class. We use this textbook called the "Benevolence Edition" and I have to say, the name fits because this book is just full of super cool stories and lessons that teach us all about being kind, caring, and respectful to others. To give you a little background, last semester we learned a ton of important vocabulary words, grammar rules, and started reading some pretty neat stories. We did units on things likedescribing personalities, talking about hobbies and interests, and even exploring different cultures around the world. It was a blast! But now, we're taking it to the next level this semester. Mrs. Rogers says we're going to dive deeper into more advanced reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. I'm both nervous and pumped!Unit 1: Opening Our HeartsThe very first unit we're covering is all about opening our hearts and minds to understanding and appreciating people from all walks of life. We'll read impactful stories that teach powerful lessons about empathy, inclusion and seeing the world through the eyes of others. Some of the themes we'll explore include:• Overcoming prejudices and judging others too quickly• Recognizing our shared humanity despite outward differences• Learning to listen to and value div erse perspectives and experiencesI have a feeling some of the stories and activities might really make us think and see things in a brand new light. Could be heavy at times, but I'm ready for it!Unit 2: Courageous Acts of CompassionNext up is a unit that gets me super excited - we'll be learning all about regular people who have done extraordinary, compassionate things to better the lives of others. We're going to read all about some really brave kids and teens who saw injustice or suffering in the world and took a stand to create positive change. Some of the real-life examples we'll cover include kids who started charities, invented cool products to solve problems, or spoke up to raise awareness about important causes. The main idea is that no matter how young or "ordinary" you feel, kindness combined with courage can empower anyone to be a force for good. We'll spend time analyzing what motivated these "kidpreneurs" and "kid activists" to take action. We'll also do fun creative writing exercises to explore how we might use our own voices and talents to leave the world a little bit better than we found it. I can't wait!Unit 3: Inspiring Acts of ServiceBuilding on the "courage in action" theme, our third unit will highlight people throughout history who have selflessly servedand cared for others in need. From volunteers and social workers to doctors, nurses, clergy members and more - we'll read all about the ways people have rolled up their sleeves to ease others' suffering. Some of the cool figures we'll learn about include:• Jane Addams, who created the first settlement houses to help poor immigrants• Dr. Sanduk Ruit, who traveled to do free cataract surgeries in remote regions• The helpers and heroes like Mr. Rogers who provided comfort during tragic timesWe'll discuss what motivated and enabled these helpers to live a life of service. We'll also reflect on how even simple acts of kindness and volunteering in our own communities can make a major difference.Unit 4: Protecting the VulnerableOur fourth unit takes the idea of helping others to the next level by specifically looking at how we can protect and advocate for society's most vulnerable groups. This includes lessons on:• Promoting children's rights and stopping labor exploitation• Supporting education, health and safety for those in poverty• P reventing bullying, abuse and discrimination against all peopleWe'll read real accounts from young people who have experienced mistreatment or faced barriers due to circumstances beyond their control. We'll also analyze how governments, organizations and individuals can enact policies and take action to safeguard human rights.I know some of these topics around injustice and suffering will be hard to read about. But I also think it's so important for us to learn how to be "upstanders" instead of bystanders when we see others being mistreated or denied basic needs and freedoms. It will be heavy, but meaningful.Unit 5: Healing Conflict Through CompassionFor our final unit, we'll take everything we've learned and put it into practice by examining how compassion can be used as a powerful tool to heal conflicts - whether between individuals, groups or even nations. We'll look at examples throughout history of leaders and peacemakers who promoted non-violentactivism, open dialogue and mutual understanding to resolve clashes. Some of the inspiring figures we'll study include:• Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy of non-violent resistance• Malal a Yousafzai's advocacy for girls' education rights despite threats• How Truth and Reconciliation Commissions helped heal wounds after conflictsWe'll spend time discussing the amazing courage, emotional intelligence and moral grounding it takes to meet hatred with an open heart and promote peace through compassion rather than retaliation. We'll also brainstorm ways we can become "ambassadors of compassion" in our own friend groups, schools and communities to prevent conflicts from escalating.I have to be honest, when I first saw our curriculum map for this semester I felt a bit intimidated by some of the heavy themes and global issues we'll be exploring. But now that I understand how it all threads together to build our empathy, kindness and courage as global citizens, I'm feeling really motivated and inspired. My biggest takeaway already is that even as kids, the choices we make about how we treat others combined with taking positive action can literally change lives and change the world. We may be young, but we have amazing power to create more peace, justice and compassion wherever we go just by opening our hearts and minds.I'm so grateful to have amazing teachers like Mrs. Rogers who believe in us and want to nurture that caring spirit. She always reminds us that one of the most important abilities we can develop is to be a "ambassador of benevolence" - someone who represents and spreads more kindness, empathy and service in this world.Alright, that's the scoop on our super meaningful English curriculum this semester! I truly believe that if every student like me gets exposure to lessons like these while we're young, it will inspire a kinder, braver, more compassionate generation of upstanders. I'm feeling empowered already and we haven't even started yet. Let's do this!篇3My English Journey: Reflections on 7th Grade, Semester TwoWow, what an incredible ride this semester has been! Just when I thought English couldn't get any more fun or interesting, our amazing teacher Mrs. Roberts proved me wrong. Let me take you through the highlights of our learning journey together. We kicked things off by traveling back in time to the fascinating world of ancient civilizations. I was totally hooked as we learned about the brilliant minds and groundbreaking inventions of cultures like ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt and China. Reading illustrated stories about young people living in those times really brought the history to life for me. I have a new appreciation for the pyramid builders, the philosophers, the pioneering scientists and so much more from our ancient ancestors. My favorite unit was definitely our deep dive into world folktales and fables. I loved unraveling the rich layers of wisdom woven into these classic stories from all around the globe. We analyzed the sly trickster tales of West Africa, the poetic animal fables of India, the magical realism of Latin American legends, and so many more. Discussing the universal truths about human nature explored in each tale was simply fascinating. I feel like I've gained insights into different cultures and perspectives that will really help me be a more understanding, thoughtful person.I also have to give a huge shout-out to our incredible novel study of "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. That book completely blew my mind and sparked the most amazing discussions in our class. Exploring the dystopian world of Sameness and getting to know characters like Jonas, The Giver, and Gabriel allowed us to think critically about issues like freedom, individuality, and the power of human memory. Mrs. Roberts guided us through the novel's deeper messages with such wisdom and compassion. My eyes were truly opened to the importance of keeping a vibrant inner life and never taking our humanity for granted. On top of all that enriching content, this semester also supercharged my core English skills. Our vocabulary has skyrocketed with all the new words we've learned from our readings and activities. Breaking down the Latin and Greek root words was an eye-opening experience that has helped me decipher so many new terms. My writing abilities have really leveled up too, thanks to Mrs. Roberts' awesome guidance on essay structure, descriptive techniques, varied sentence styles and more. Presentation skills like public speaking and visual aids were another big focus that has boosted my confidence.I know I've only scratched the surface of all we covered, but I wanted to give you a taste of this incredible semester. Englishisn't just another subject anymore - it's a window into the world that allows me to walk in other people's shoes, question universal truths, and discover who I really am. All of us students have been stretched in new ways while being shown constant kindness, patience and compassion by our wonderful teacher.I can't wait to see what thought-provoking adventures await in 8th grade English! For now, I'm just feeling so grateful for the meaningful lessons, the "aha" moments of understanding, and the ultimate gift of becoming a more empathetic human being. This semester was the full mind-opening package, and I'll cherish these experiences forever.篇4Title: My Journey Through the Benevolence Edition English TextbookHello everyone! My name is Anna and I'm a 7th grader at Greenfield Elementary School. I just finished going through the entire "Benevolence Edition" English textbook for 7th grade and I wanted to share my experiences with you all.The textbook was split into two volumes, with the second volume being covered after the Chinese New Year break in late January. I remember the first day back from winter vacation, ourEnglish teacher Ms. Roberts had a big smile on her face as she held up the new books."Who's ready to continue our journey into the world of English?" she asked excitedly. We all cheered loudly because Ms. Roberts always made learning English fun and engaging.Volume 1 kicked off with a unit called "My Roles and Responsibilities." This section taught us lots of new vocabulary about different jobs and occupations that people have. We read amusing stories about a zookeeper, chef, scientist and other careers. My favorite was the zookeeper story because of all the cute animal descriptions! The next unit was "Our Colorful World" which delved into adjectives and descriptive language. I enjoyed painting pictures with my words to describe my favorite colors, clothing, personalities and more. Writing a poem about the rainbow was a real highlight.Up next was "Festivals and Celebrations" which coincided nicely with the spring holiday season. We learned about traditions for Chinese New Year, Christmas, Thanksgiving and more. Interviewing our family members about their favorite celebrations was an memorable experience. The fourth unit focused on "Plants and Flowers." This was perfect timing as we took a fieldtrip to the Boston botanical gardens. I used so many vivid adjectives to depict the exotic flowers I saw. Pressing some wildflowers into our journals was lots of fun too! Finally, volume 1 wrapped up with "Going Green" which taught us about environmental protection and sustainability. We had an energy conservation week at school where we tracked our electricity and water usage. Reading about smog in cities and animals going extinct because of pollution was a real wake-up call! After Chinese New Year, we excitedly unboxed our volume 2 textbooks. The first unit was called "What a Wonderful World" and it exposed us to geography and world cultures. We went on a virtual world tour, learned traditional dances, ethnic customs, famous landmarks and more. Definitely one of my favorite units! The second unit focused on "Let's Use It" which was all about inventions and modern technology. We even had a "Invention Convention" at school where we built our own prototypes and presented them to parents. The smartphone unit was really interesting as we discussed both the benefits and downsides of being constantly connected.Up next was "Animals Big and Small" where we studied creatures from the tiniest insects to hugewhales. We took a field trip to an animal sanctuary and practiced our describing words as tour guides. I'll never forget seeing an elephant and bald eagle up close! The fourth unit covered "Sports and Exercise" which was perfect for spring when we could enjoy physical activities outdoors. We learned lots of new sports vocabulary, training routines, Olympic stories and more. A highlight was the school field day with relay races and other fun competitions. Finally, volume 2 wrapped up with "The Arts and Entertainment." This gave me a chance to explore my creative side through music, painting, drama, dance and more. We even put on a small English play at the end for our parents which was basically a variety show celebrating all the talents in our class.Looking back over my entire 7th grade "Benevolence" textbook journey, I feel like I've grown so much in my English skills. My vocabulary has exploded, I'm more confident in writing, reading, listening and speaking, and most importantly - I've kept my passion for learning this amazing global language. While there were certainly some units that were harder than others, Ms. Roberts always made it fun through interactivegames, projects, field trips and more. Her patience, creativity and kindness made a huge difference.I'm now really excited for 8th grade English next year so I can continue expanding my abilities. But for now, I'll just keep practicing over summer break by reading english books, writing in my journal and maybe even teaching my parents some new words and phrases. Thanks for joining me on this reflection through the past school year. It's been an adventure growing my English skills and I'm sure there will be many more exciting chapters ahead! Let me know if you have any other questions.篇5仁爱版英语七年级下册教学进度表Unit 1: Hello, Everyone! In this unit, we will learn how to greet people in English and introduce ourselves. My name is Lily and I'm a 7th grader at Greenwood Middle School. This year, we've been using the new "Compassion Edition" English textbook and I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences with it so far. When I first saw the textbook at the start of the semester, I was really excited by the colorful pictures and interesting topics it covered. The first unit was about understanding feelings and emotions. Through readings, videos, and activities, we learned how to better identify our own emotions and be more empathetic toward how others might be feeling. One of the first big projects was creating an "Emotions Dictionary" where we came up with definitions and examples for different feelings like joy, anger, fear, and many more. It was really eye-opening to dive deeper into the nuances of emotions that we often just express in simple words. My personal favorite entry was for the word "melancholic" which I defined as "a feeling of pensive sadness, typically with no obvious cause."The second unit focused on anti-bullying and how to be an "upstander" instead of just a bystander. We read stories from different perspectives of people being bullied and didrole-playing activities to practice ways we could step in and defuse bullying situations. I've tried to use those skills a few times already in real life when I saw friends being picked on.For the unit project, we had to create a children's storybook about bullying that teaches an empathy lesson. My group wrote ours about a young giraffe who was bullied for having a shortneck. In the end, the other animals realize his neck is actually the perfect size for reaching delicious snacks they couldn't reach. It was such a fun creative project!Unit 3 was one of my favorites – it was all about being a good friend and maintaining healthy relationships. I really enjoyed the readings about the value of diverse friend groups and why it's so important to make friends with people who are different from you. There was one chapter from the perspective of a blind student who said some of his closest friends were the ones who didn't treat him differently because of his disability. For the unit project, we had to write scripts and film short videos demonstrating what being a good friend looks like in different scenarios. My group did a video portraying two friends who get into an argument but then take accountability, communicate respectfully, and reaffirm their friendship. I'm really proud of how it turned out!The most recent unit we covered was about developing a moral compass and exploring different ethical belief systems. This one was pretty dense since we learned about philosophies like utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics. My favorite activities were the case studies where we had to discuss how wewould respond to various ethical dilemmas through different philosophical lenses. For the final project of the unit, we had to write persuasive speeches staking out our own personal moral philosophies on a controversial issue. I chose to do mine on the ethics of zoos –whether it is ethical to confine animals for human entertainment and education. I made arguments from multiple perspectives using different philosophical frameworks we had learned. It was my first time writing a longer persuasive speech like that and I'm grateful for the experience. So that's where we're at so far with the Compassion Edition textbook! Overall, I've absolutely loved going through it so far. The units have been so engaging and have really pushed me to think more deeply about building character strengths like empathy, integrity, and ethical reasoning. While some of the content has been quite challenging, I feel like I've grown so much as a student and as a person.Up next, we're moving into a unit all about environmental stewardship and how we can be more sustainable global citizens. I'm really looking forward to all the interesting readings, discussions, and projects we'll do for that unit. This textbook has definitely made me a more compassionate and intellectuallycurious person already. I'm excited to see how much more I'll learn and grow by the end of the year!。
