Monologue
I’ll tell a story about the Internet. The Internet is used for many things---shopping, reading, watching videos and chatting. Kyle MacDonald, a 26-year-old man from Canada, used his blog to make his dream come true. At that time Kyle was out of work. He wanted to own a house. On his blog, he said that all he had was one red paperclip and he asked people to exchange it with him. First, someone exchanged a fish pen for it. Then the exchange continued. Free rent for a year, a day with rock star Alice Cooper…Kyle did exchanges 14 times. The house was offered to him by the people of Kipling, Canada. He gave him the house in exchange for a role in a Hollywood movie. Kyle became famous because of his blog. And he has appeared on TV and had many stories written about him.

Hello, everyone! I would like to tell you about a small island in Australia. I visited it last year. Before we see the video, let me tell you something about the island. It is called Duck Island. And the easiest way to get to the island is to take a plane from the International Airport at Cain on the mainland. It takes you forty-five minutes. Most of the land is covered in forest, and it is very beautiful. There is only one place, a hotel, to stay in. It has 160 rooms, and it is right on the beach. There are many trees around the hotel. It has a very good kids club for 15 to 16 years old. The club has activities such as beach volleyball and water sports.
These are things for all people to do, too---boat trips, deep-sea diving lessons and so on.。
