Dear Motherland,

During this festive period, there are many traditions that we follow. One of my favorite customs is the lion dance. The vibrant colors and lively movements of the lion dancers never fail to mesmerize me. It symbolizes good luck and

wards off evil spirits. It brings great joy not only to children like me but also to the elderly who reminisce about their own childhood celebrations.

Another tradition that holds great importance is the act of giving red envelopes known as "hongbao." These envelopes contain money which is believed to bring blessings and good fortune for the recipient. I remember feeling excited and grateful every time I received a hongbao during Spring Festival. It taught me the value of generosity and sharing with others.

The highlight of Spring Festival is undoubtedly the grand fireworks display. As darkness falls on New Year's Eve, colorful fireworks light up the night sky. The dazzling spectacle symbolizes driving away bad luck and welcoming prosperity into our lives. The sight never fails to leave me awe-inspired and grateful for all the beauty around us.

But Spring Festival is not just about festivities; it also holds deep cultural roots. It gives us an opportunity to honor our ancestors through ancestral worship ceremonies

and paying respects at their gravesites. This ritual reminds us of our history, traditions, and values that have been passed down from generation to generation.
