自我介绍（两分钟）
Good morning. My dear professors. I am glad to be here for this interview.
My name is xxx and I am 21 years old. I come from xx. I am going to graduate from the law department of Southwest University of Political Science & Law in June, 2023. For the past six months I have been preparing for the postgraduate examination. Now all my hard work has got a result since I have a chance to be here. So I just feel a little bit nervous, because this is my first time to have such an interview.
In the past three years, I have learnt some basic knowledge of law. For example, from the courses of the civil law and criminal law, I got to know the basics of public and private law. When I learnt more about this field, I became more interested in it. Apart from the textbooks, I borrowed many relevant ones from our library to read, such as The Social Contract and The SPIRIT of LAWS. I really enjoyed my journey when reading and absorbing the information from these fascinating works.
In addition to reading books, I also like browsing through some journals in law on a daily basis so that I can keep an eye on the latest news and findings in my area. My passion in law is the reason why I would like to pursue the further study in this field. Owing to my diligence and persistence, I could concentrate on my study and I believe that I could eventually succeed.
1.你的爱好是什么？（读书）
I have developed extensive hobbies in my life, like reading books, running, and listening to music, and one of my favorite one is reading books. I enjoy reading because whenever I have something that I can't deal with in my life and study, I can find the answer from the book, which is definitely the most significant meaning of reading books.
2.最近在读什么书？最爱的一本书是什么？你喜欢读什么类型的书？
（I like reading inspirational books.）My favorite book is / The book I read recently is The Courage to Be Disliked and I actually read this book three times. This book is written by a Japanese writer, demonstrating how to unlock the power within yourself to be the person you truly want to be.It's a way of thinking that is deeply liberating, allowing us to develop the courage to change.

My hometown is Wanzhou，a beautiful city in Chongqing province. It is really a nice place for tourism and relaxation. The people in my hometown are easygoing and hospitable. Have you ever heard about Wanzhou grilled fish？I am so proud to tell you that it comes from my hometown. With the rapid development of science and technology, the living style and standard in my hometown has been improved , and I am so happy to witness these changes.

I feel so lucky to have a great family which includes my diligent mother, my wise father and me. My parents are role models of my life, and that is why I have grown up with a sunny personality. I really appreciate my mother because she convinces me of the importance of being honest and responsible since my childhood, and that has laid a healthy and solid foundation for my future road.

My undergraduate institution is Southwest University of Political Science & Law;
I consider the past 3 years have been priceless. There were many good people there, such as my warm-hearted supervisor and instructors. When I was in need, these people would always go out of their way to help me. Aside from that, my industrious and hardworking housemates set an example for me by managing their time and creating daily routines. All of these positive behaviors had an impact on my potential.
I am grateful to my undergraduate university.
6.你的优点和缺点？
As for my strength, I would say that mature mindset is my greatest advantage, which has allowed me to deal with many problems and troubles in my life. And I build up this strong and mature mindset by reading books.
While, every coin has two sides, and I am no exception. My weakness is to demand everything to be perfect, and I can't survive with a little flaw in my life. I know it is harmful and I will overcome this weakness in my future road.
7.为什么报考这个学校？
I decide to study here for some special reasons. First of all, I'm deeply impressed by the good reputation and academic atmosphere here. As far as I know, it's probably the most suitable place for me to broaden my horizon. Surrounded by those brilliant people, I can be more active and positive in developing my ability. Besides, I pre f er this university due to some personal preferences. For quite a long time, I wish I could be here and I even plan everything after my arrival.

I've thought about how to make use of the postgraduate years over and over again.
First of all, improving my academic performance is my top priority, so I plan to read more professional books and papers to deepen my comprehension on my major and manage to fulfill a few papers based on my own understanding. Moreover, I will participate in some teamwork with my mentor and classmates.
9.选择这个专业的原因？
Because I have a profound love in this major. It is very practical and useful. It provides me with both knowledge and curiosity, and helps me to understand the procedure, to shoulder my responsibility, and to learn how to take the initiative in litigation. It's not only a subject, but also an inspiration to me.

My favorite movie is Forrest Gump, performed by Tom Hanks. As a fascinating movie, it inspired me with Gump's childlike optimism in life and study.The movie
is so effortlessly powerful and I learned a lot from this movie. Instead of focusing on our own weaknesses, we should make the most of what we've got.

I think the most impressive experience is preparing for the postgraduate examination. / My greatest achievement is my decision to prepare for the postgraduate examination.
Because I learned a lot during the process of struggling for it and luckily I don’t have to take the written exam to be a candidate in this interview. It is this experience that makes me realize that I am so diligent and brave. No matter what difficulties and frustrations I will confront with, I have confidence to face and struggle with it.
12.如何看待新冠疫情？
Thank you for your question. I want to talk about the influence of this pandemic from 3 aspects.
Socially, everybody's life has been affected. People were stuck at home and obeyed the rule of social distancing.
And the economy has been greatly shocked. Factories, restaurants and cinemas were shut down at the height of this pandemic.
And for myself，I truly appreciate what I have and start to question how can I contribute to society? What's my social identity? So I fastened my determination to further my study.
13.你希望在研究生期间收获什么？（What do you expect to achieve during
your study if you are enrolled into this institute?）
If I am lucky enough to be a postgraduate student in your school, I hope to read more frontier academic literature and accumulate more practical experience, so I can become an excellent student in this field. In addition, I hope to get some opportunities of intercultural communication and to broaden my horizons
14.为什么要读研？（Why do you want to become a postgraduate?）.
Because of my personality. I enjoy the life on campus. Learning from teachers and students can teach me a lot of stuff tha t I think the society won’t teach me. I’m not fond of the competitive atmosphere in the job market. On the contrary, I prefer focusing on research and studying painstakingly.

I am a determined girl. I always take effort to pursue my dreams and never give up easily. And I am a warm-hearted person. When someone needs help, I will always give a hand.。
