1. receptive
1)
ADJ-GRADED (对新思想或建议)乐于接受的,能接纳的,善于听取的
Someone who is receptive to new ideas or suggestions is prepared to consider them or accept them.

2)
ADJ-GRADED (对治疗)反应良好的,能接纳的
If someone who is ill is receptive to treatment, they start to get better when they are
given treatment.

1)

A glance is a quick look at someone or something.

If you see something at a glance, you see or recognize it immediately, and without having to think or look carefully.
EG: One could tell at a glance that she was a compassionate person.
3)

If you say that something is true or seems to be true at first glance, you mean that it seems to be true when you first see it or think about it, but that your first impression may be wrong.

the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy.

1)

If you describe a person or their behavior as nasty, you mean that they behave in an unkind and unpleasant way.

and more seriously than before.

2)

Earnest people are very serious and sincere in what they say or do, because they think that their actions and beliefs are important.
EG: Catherine was a pious, earnest woman.

If you describe someone's behavior as endearing, you mean that it causes you to
feel very fond of them.
EG: She has such an endearing personality...
11. candidacy

Someone's candidacy is their position of being a candidate in an election.
EG: Today he is formally announcing his candidacy for President.
12. consent
1)

If you give your consent to something, you give someone permission to do it.

If you consent to something, you agree to do it or to allow it to be done.

If something happens by common consent or by mutual consent, it happens as
the result of an agreement between the people or groups involved.

You can use by general consent or by common consent to indicate that most
people agree that something is true.

democracy.

Prosperous people, places, and economies are rich and successful.
