【教学目标】

1. The sentence of ask 'where' to others.
---Where did you go for your holidays?
---Where is....?
And the answer is: It's in the north/south/east/west of China.
2. Any of the speech sounds represented by the letters.

Using the sentence in communication and talking.
【教学准备】
photo. tapes. gifts . cards. pictures.
【教学过程】
一、Warm up:
1. Listen to the music 'My home's the place'. And find 'north, south, east, west.'
2. Let one student tell us what have you hear in the music. Then divide the class into 4 groups. Such as South, North, East, West. By the way, on the board draw a Chinese map. Mark north at the top, south at the bottom, west on the left and east on the right.
二、Lend in:
1. Let them look at the Chinese map first. Ask them
--- ''where is Sanya?''
---''It's in the south of China.''
Called three students in front of the classroom. Ask and answer.
2. Point to the Xinjiang and tell students ''We know that Lingling went to Xinjiang last year. Her grandmother lived there, and she had a wonderful time there. What did she do there? Do you want to know? OK, let's look at the text and find it.
三、New lesson:
1. Look and say.
Show the photo of Lingling's family and tell them look at the photo. Then ask ''How many people in it? What are they doing?''
2. Listen and think.
A: Frist tell them read the questions on the board:
1) When did Lingling go to Xinjiang?
2) Where is Xinjiang?
3) Which mountain did Lingling climb?
4) Which lake did Lingling vist?
5) Did she have a good time?
B: Listen the tape and think the questions. Then find the answer.
C:Student answer these questions, the answer is:
1) She went in July.
2) It’s in the weat of China.
3) The Tianshan Mountain.
4) The Tianchi Lake.
5) Yes, she had a good time.
3. Listen and read.
Play the tape again, let them read after the tape. Then talk about the photos of Lingling's family, this time make them talk about the phrase whit these photos. Then write the phrase on the board.
Rode a horse. Climbed the Tianshan Mountain. Visited the Tianchi Lake
Read the phrase. After read the text by themselves at last.
四、Listen and repeat:
1. Show the word's card and listen the tape, find the other letters that make the same sound. Then underline it.
2. Listen and read.
3. Read it by yourself. And think could you find any of the speech sounds represented by the letters. Then tell us.
4. Read these words and sentences.
1) Good morning. Your door is open.
2) How about an ice cream?
3) On Saturday, I will paint my room a different colour.
Morning door your about how colour Saturday
五、Point, ask and answer.
Make them pair work to ask and answer. Tell them you can look at the Chinese map and point to the any city with you like it, then ask your partner. Then change.
----Where did you go for your holiday?
----I went to...
----Where is ...?
----It's in the.....of....China.
六、Play games: Snowball.
Write the sentence on the board:
I went to.... and I bought....
Explain to the students I will call four students to in front of the classroom, they will using the sentence and say it.
E.g.: A says ''I went to Guilin and I bought a cap.
B says'' I went to Guilin and I bought a cap and a book.
C says ''I went to Guilin and I bought a cap and a book and an apple......
七、Listen and say ,then sing.
Make them read the words first. Then listen the tape, follow it. At last sing a song by themselves.
八、Homework:
Finish the A and B.。
