The Double Ninth Festival feelings
Being a stranger in a foreign land, I miss my family all the more during festivals. I know my brothers are climbing the mountain, but there is one less person wearing dogwood branches. Wang Wei's poem "Remembering My Brothers in Shandong on the Ninth Day of the Ninth Month" is a well-known poem to everyone, and it is also the most representative work of the Double Ninth Festival. The Double Ninth Festival is also known as the Elderly Day. On this day, people often express their longing for their loved ones in various ways.
Our family took a bus to Wushan to attend the annual Wushan Temple Fair. As soon as I got off the bus, I was attracted by the lively scene in front of me. There were crowds of people, shoulder to shoulder, and laughter everywhere. The Wushan Temple Fair is really worthy of its reputation! At this time, my mother called me from behind: "Don't stand there, hurry up the mountain!" So I held my grandmother's hand and climbed up the bluestone steps step by step to the top of the mountain.
Along the way, we stopped and walked, enjoying the scenery along the way. The temples were filled with smoke and the bells rang melodiously; the ancient houses were decorated with carved beams and painted buildings, which had a unique flavor. I asked my grandmother curiously, "Grandma, do you know why we climb high on the Double Ninth Festival?" Grandma smiled and replied, "Silly child, the Double Ninth Festival is a day to respect the elderly. Climbing high not only exercises the body, but also means rising step by step, wishing our lives to get better and better." I nodded, not quite understanding, and thought to myself: It turns out that there are so many things to pay attention to on the Double Ninth Festival!
Unconsciously, we came to the top of the mountain. Standing on the top of the mountain, overlooking the whole city, I suddenly understood the
meaning of "I will climb to the top of the mountain and see all the small mountains". A gust of autumn wind blew, and I felt refreshed, and the fatigue of the past few days was swept away. "Grandma, look!" I pointed to a group of white pigeons in the distance and shouted excitedly. Grandma looked in the direction of my finger and showed a surprised smile on her face: "It's pigeons!" I saw a group of white pigeons flying freely in the square. Their feathers were as white as snow and sparkled in the sun. Many tourists bought pigeon food and fed these lovely white pigeons. Grandma also bought a bag of pigeon food. She carefully put the pigeon food in her palm and then stretched out her hand. A white pigeon flew over and gently pecked at the corn kernels in grandma's hand. Grandma's face was filled with a happy smile, and her eyes were full of love. At this moment, time seemed to s tand still, and the whole world became beautiful.
On the top of the mountain, I also saw many elderly people. Some of them were chatting, some were walking, and some were exercising. Looking at these elderly people, I couldn't help but think of my grandmo ther. My grandmother is over 70 years old. She is still healthy, but after all, she is old and her movements are not as flexible as before. I think that when I grow up, I must take my grandmother to more places, let her see more beautiful scenery, and feel more happiness.
The Double Ninth Festival is a festival to respect and love the elderly. On this special day, we should not only climb high and look far, but also express our care and blessings to the elderly around us. Let us act together to respect the elderly and let every elderly person live a happy and joyful old age!
On the way down the mountain, I held my grandmother's hand and swore to myself: I must spend more time with my grandmother in the future and let her feel my love. The Double Ninth Festival is a festival full of warmth. It allows us to stop in our busy lives, care about the elderly around us, and feel the warmth of family affection. Let us cherish this family affection together and let it never fade in the long river of time.
