一、教学目标
1.知识与能力目标
•学生能够理解并掌握单词:tower, bridge, skyscraper, tunnel, canal 等视觉和听觉信息。
•能够听懂并使用课文中出现的句子和表达方式。

二、教学重点
•掌握新单词tower, bridge, skyscraper, tunnel, canal的拼写和发音。

四、教学过程
1. Warm-up
Show some pictures of different buildings to the students and ask them if they recognize the buildings and what each one is called in English.
2. Presentation
a. New words
Tower, bridge, skyscraper, tunnel, canal.
Presentation method: Teacher uses pictures and real-life objects as teaching aids to introduce new words. Practice: Students are asked to match new words with pictures and real-life objects.
b. Listening practice
Listen to the dialogue in the textbook and find out what kind of building the girl is describing and how tall it is.
Presentation method: Teacher reads the dialogue aloud, while students read silently and try to understand. Then teacher and students listen to the recording together to check their understanding.
3. Practice
a. Role-play
Pair work: Students work in pairs to practice the dialogue in the textbook, take turns being the speaker and the listener.
b. Reading the text
Students read the text aloud, while the teacher corrects their pronunciation.
c. Questions and answers
The teacher asks questions and students answer them according to the text.
4. Production
a. Joining words into sentences
Ask students to use the words they’ve learned to make their own sentences and share with the rest of the class.
b. Writing
The teacher asks the students to write about any building they like.
5. Assessment
The teacher assesses the students’ learning output through classroom performance, homework, and quiz.
五、教学反思
