My View on Online Learning
I have been learning for a while and have become skilled in how to use the online learning platform. As far as I am concerned, a good learning platform can interest students in learning. On the online learning platform, I seem to have found the long lost sense of learning. And these are my view on online learning.
Let's talk about the advantages first. As a new teaching model, online teaching has its own advantages. First and foremost, the online teaching platform provides learning opportunities and resources for teachers and students. Even if we can' t go out because of the COVID-19, we can communicate and study with our teachers either. What's more, online teaching platform makes teaching more diversified and creative. We have kinds of ways to get the knowledge and deal with our homework. Last but not least, the online teaching platform reduces the education cost. As long as there is wifi, we can know and learn the information and knowledge. Not only these online teaching resources can help teachers communicate with each other and grow together, but also cultivate students' awareness of independent learning.
Then talk about the weaknesses. Firstly, online teaching is too fragmented to integrate knowledge points. Many students refer to the low learning efficiency of online teaching. And if them have some problems, it is hard to ask their teachers for help because the schedule is too fragmented. For another, there is less interaction between teachers and students. For example, in English classes, in addition to grammar and writing skills,
listening and speaking skills should also be exercised. But until now, I have not had a good experience in learning spoken English. The most important reason is that online teaching is a test of students' consciousness and self-discipline. Some students play games in classes, and the teacher can't tell and stop them in time. If they can't push themselves to learn actively, they will probably get bad grades.
All in all, I appreciate this new form of education and also get benefits. But the online learning platform still needs to be improved, especially the interactive platform. It has a lot of room for improvement. Hope it will be perfect and bring us more convenience.。
