《My Experience in English Class》
As a student in the seventh grade, I have been studying English for several years. However, this semester, I had a unique experience in my English class that I will never forget.
Our English teacher, Mrs. Smith, decided to try a new teaching method. Instead of the traditional lecture-style class, she divided us into groups and gave us a project to work on. The project was to create a presentation about a famous person in history.
At first, I was a little nervous about working in a group. I was worried that we would not be able to agree on a topic or that someone would not do their part. However, as we started to work together, I realized that my concerns were unfounded.
My group members were all very friendly and helpful. We quickly decided on a topic - Martin Luther King Jr. - and began to research and gather information. We found pictures, videos, and quotes to include in our presentation.
As we worked on the project, I learned a lot about Martin Luther King Jr. and his contributions to the civil rights movement. I also learned how to work effectively in a group. We had to communicate clearly, divide the work evenly, and support each other.
When it was time to present our project to the class, I was very nervous. However, as I stood up in front of the class and began to speak, I felt a sense of confidence. I knew that my group had worked hard on the project, and I was proud to share our findings with the class.
After our presentation, Mrs. Smith gave us feedback. She praised us for our hard work and creativity. She also pointed out some areas where we could improve. I appreciated her feedback and knew that it would help me become a better presenter in the future.
Overall, this experience in my English class was very rewarding. I learned a lot about history, teamwork, and presenting. I also had fun working with my group members and sharing our ideas with the class.
I believe that this new teaching method is very effective. It allows students to be more engaged in the learning process and to develop important skills such as teamwork and communication. I hope that Mrs. Smith will continue to use this method in the future and that I will have more opportunities to learn in this way.。
