(Text 1)
M: Cathy, why are you studying in the park?
W: The classroom is noisy and the library is full, so I came here to prepare for my exam.
(Text 2)
M: Have you heard from James? He must have arrived in Australia by now! He promised to send me a letter.
W: He gave me a quick call yesterday. Didn't you get my email?
(Text 3)
M: We could go to eat in a restaurant and then see a film.
W: To tell you the truth, I can't really go anywhere this evening because I've got to answer some very important questions from my clients.
(Text 4)
M: How is your homework coming along?
W: Don't ask. After I finish wring this paper, I've got to start my research for another paper that's due next week.
And I don't know when I'll have time to prepare for my test—it's in two days.
(Text 5)
M: Hey, Jane. Have you seen that magazine Mom left on the sofa?
W: Yeah, I'm reading it right now. There is a great survey in here.
M: Would you please give it to me when you are finished?
W: Sure, no problem.
(Text 6)
W: Paul, what took you to South America? Was it to improve your Spanish?
M: Well, I just wanted to find out more about the way people lived there. My spoken Spanish was already pretty good.
W: I see. How did you do that?
M: I found an agency that runs voluntary projects. Construction and teaching English were good options. Then there was tourism, which I actually chose to do, and then there was work with local farmers, or should I say agriculture. W: Quite good. Well, I look forward to hearing more about your experiences.
(Text 7)
W: Have you got any other questions?
M: Yes. The speech should be for 20 minutes—is that right?
W: Yes, but 20 minutes in total, including 5 minutes for questions. So you'll talk for only 15 minutes.
M: I won't be able to say much at all in that time.
W: First, you must make sure your speech only includes the most important information. For instance, you won't have time to give examples, but you could give some images that show examples, without spending time talking about them.
M: That's a good idea.
(Text 8)
M: Hi, Ann. I didn't see you at Jenny's party on Saturday.
W:Oh hi,Jason. No, I didn't go to the party actually. I had to clean my room, and then I started to work on my homework.
M: Oh, what's it on?
W: Chemistry. And I've only got until this Friday to finish it.
M: By Friday? That doesn't leave you much time.
W: Well, actually, it's due next Monday, but I'm going away for the weekend with my brother, Pat.
M: Where are you going?
W: Well, we're thinking of driving down to Chichester to see Mark and Penny, our cousins.
M: So how did you get on with the chemistry homework?
W: There wasn't much to do, really. I went to the library first to look for some books, but there was nothing useful there. I turned to my brother, but he was busy with a report then.
M: What about the Internet? Did you try looking there?
W: Yes. Luckily, I found some good material there.
M: Good.
(Text 9)
W: Hello, this is Lucy. May I speak to Sam, please?
M: Speaking.
W: Hi, Sam. I'm so glad you're back. I called about ten minutes ago. But no one answered the phone.
M: Well, my parents went to the supermarket today and I was working in the garden. I heard nothing. So what's up, Lucy?
W: I wonder if I could borrow some books from you. My sister Anna wants to read some books by famous writers in history.
M: Don't you have any books for her to read?
W: I hardly read. I spend most of my time learning music and watching TV. Could you lend me some?
M: Sure. You can come with your sister and pick some this afternoon.
W: Sorry, but I'll go shopping with my friend Jenny this afternoon. Could I come with my sister tomorrow morning? M: Tomorrow morning? I don't think I can make it. I'll play football with some friends tomorrow morning. What about tomorrow afternoon?
W: OK. See you then. Thanks, Sam.
(Text 10)

书面表达
One possible version:
Dear fellow students,
Some students are usually seen wasting food. I am writing to call on everyone to move against wasting food and take an active part in saving food.
Food is of vital significance. It is not easy for farmers to produce it,and we should value every grain of it. Many people in the world are still suffering from hunger. Besides, the COVID-19 is still here and we shouldn't be too optimistic about our food supply.
And this is what we can do: When eating at the school, buy no more than what you can have. When eating out, take your leftovers back home.
I am convinced that, with our joint efforts, the happening of wasting food will disappear.
Yours,
Li Hua。
