一、教学准备
1. 教师准备:
(1) Listen and write in the right places部分的音频。
(2) 一套背面写着数字的Units 5〜8所有四会词汇的卡片以及tall, short, long, old young, strong, thin, small, big, good, beautifully这些形容词的单词卡、Units 5〜8主要功能句的硬纸条。
2. 学生准备:Units 5〜8的词汇卡片。
二、教学方法建议
I. 课程导入(Leading In)
1. 课前热身
师生相互问候之后,通过演唱Unit 7的歌曲The More We Get Together 进行热身,进入英语课堂氛围。
2. 新课导入
(1) 词汇部分
教师将所准备的Units 5〜8的所有词汇卡片整理好,用闪卡的方式或快或慢地向学生逐一出示词卡,让学生集体朗读词汇;再给学生看图卡,让学生集体或用接龙的方式拼读出词汇,带领学生对所学的词汇进行复习巩固。
(2) 句型部分
教师将所准备的写有各单元主要功能句的硬纸条以单元为单位逐一展示给学生,还可设计一些简单的对话带领学生复习所学的句型。
II. 课程展示活动和过程的设计建议(Presentation)
1. Listen and write in the right places
(1) 进行本项活动之前,教师可先带领学生借助教室物品的位置关系复习一下所学的in, on, under, beside, between, behind等介词。
(2) 教师向学生讲解本活动要求,即:根据录音中所提及的物品的位置在相应的白色圆圈中写出该物品名称。
(3) 教师引导学生认真观察本部分的图片,逐一说出图片上的物品的英文名称,让学生在听的时候做到心中有数。
(4) 教师播放两遍本部分的录音,学生自主完成该部分的活动。
(5) 教师围绕录音内容,设置问题,引导学生答一答,说一说:
Where is the T-shirt? (The T-shirt is beside the bed.)
Where are the shorts? (The shorts are between the desk and the chair.)
Are the shoes in the bag? (No. The shoes are under the bed.)
Where is the bag? (The bag is behind the door.)
(6) 本部分的录音材料如下:

2. Let’s play
本活动旨在复习巩固描述人、物特征的形容词。
(1) 活动之前,教师可先组织学生复习tall, short, long, old, young, strong, thin, small, big, good, beautiful等单词。
教师可借助肢体动作来展现,让学生说出合适的形容词。
如:教师竖起大拇指,学生可说good;教师显摆自己的漂亮衣服或做臭美状,学生则说beautiful;……也可选出几位学生面向大家背对教师,然后由教师给出词卡,其他同学一起说出该单词,由这几位学生一起表演。
(2) 读词组话:将学生分为五人一组,进行小组比赛。
教师把这些形容词卡片背面向上堆放在一起,每组先派一名同学上前随意抽一张词卡后,大声读词三遍,然后小组里的其他同学展开想象,用该单词说一句话描述具有该特征的人或物。
(3) 评出活动中配合默契、完成顺畅的小组作为优胜小组。
3. Look and complete
(1) 教师讲解本部分活动的要求,即:看图,根据情境完成对话。
此项活动旨在训练学生
书写完整的句子,较其他活动的难度有所增加,所以教师要视学生的掌握程度进行必要的前期准备活动以降低学生完成的难度,如可以先复习一下购物、问路、登记旅馆时所用的功能句。
(2) 教师引领学生分别浏览并描述本部分所呈现的三幅图片,然后由学生自己根据每幅图所表现的情境,在书上补出相应的句子。
(3) 教师随机选出几组学生,让他们进行对话表演,以此来核对答案。
(4) 参考答案:What can I do for you? How much are they? I’ll take them.

III. 操练活动的设计与实施建议(Practice Activities)
1. 排卡片
准备用具:一套背面写着数字的词汇卡片。
活动步骤:1. 教师出示卡片请全班认读,并不时让学生看卡片背面的数字;2. 教师依次把卡片背面朝外贴在黑板上;3. 教师先翻出第一张卡片,学生读出该词;4. 学生依次猜说其他数字的卡片是哪些词汇。
2. 句子复习
教师可通过设计情景问答等形式进行句子的复习。
可采用教师大声问,学生小声答的方式;亦可将学生分成两大组进行问答练习。
