辨析:by / with / in / on “用”法不同
◆by的用法
(1)“by + doing形式”结构表示“通过……的方式;以……的方式”,在句中做方式状语,对“by+动名词”的结构进行提问要用特殊疑问词how。
(2) by+交通工具,乘/坐...(交通工具),交通工具名词前不加任何冠词
by bus 坐公交车
(3) by+地点,在...的旁边;靠近...
Our teacher was sitting by the door.我们的老师正坐在门旁边。
(4) by+时间,在…之前;不迟于...
I will be back by 5 o'clock. 五点之前我就会回来。
(5) 从……经过
I waved to him when I walked by his store.
我路过他的店铺时,向他挥了挥手。

◆with 的用法:表示用某种工具
(1) with +工具We like to write with a pen.
(2) with+人体部位We see with our eyes.
◆in 的用法:通常与“语言、衣着、声音、书写材料”等名称连用

◆on 的用法:on +电器或媒介on TV /radio/Internet

【回答】
(1). 同意对方的建议时,一般用:

I agree with you 我同意你的看法。
No problem 没问题。
Sure/ Of course/ Certainly 当然可以。
Yes, I think so 对,我也这样想。
(2).对对方的帮助或要求表示委婉谢绝时,一般用:
I don’t think so 我认为不是这样。
Sorry, I can’t 对不起,我不能。
I’d love to, but…我愿意,但恐怕…

6. What about reading aloud to practice pronunciation?大声朗读练习发音呢?

(1). a lot 许多,大量,在此处做learned的宾语
(2). that way 通过那种方式,way表示方式方法,常和in搭配,构成固定短语in this/that way,in可以省略。

way的其它固定搭配:
in the way 妨碍;挡着……的路
by the way 顺变说一下
on one’s way to ... 在去……的路上

(3) some times 名词词组,“几次,几倍”

10. It’s too hard to understand spoken English. 听懂英语口语太难了。
辨析:so that, so...that...与too...to...
(1)so that引导目的状语从句,从句中可使用情态动词或助动词,与in order that同义;变为简单句时,可用in order to进行转换。
如:
They then go into our notes so that we can use them again.然后它们被我们记录入笔记之中,以便我们能再次用到。
(2)so...that...表示“如此……以至于……”,引导结果状语从句,从句中一般不用can或may等词,与
such...that...同义;表示否定,变为简单句时,可用too...to...进行转换。
如:
He is so honest that he will not accept bribe.他忠诚老实,不肯受贿。
(3)too...to...表示“太……而不能……”,其基本结构为“too+形容词或副词+to+动词原形”,可与so/such...that..., be not...enough to do sth.互换使用。
如:
He is too shy to speak to her.他太害羞以至于不能跟她说话。

辨析“The+比较级..., the+比较级...”与“比较级+and+比较级”
“The+比较级..., the+比较级...”表示“越……,越……”,是一个复合句,其中前面的句子是状语从句,后面的句子是主句。
当主句是一般将来时态时,从句中应用一般现在时态替代将来时态;“比较级+and+比较级”则表示“越来越……”。
如:

find v. 找到;发现,强调找的结果,非延续性动词;
find out 查明;找出;发现,强调找出答案,弄清真相,查明情况等;
look for 寻找;找,强调找的过程,延续性动词。
【句型】sb. find it + adj. + to do sth. 发现做某事很……
在这个句型中it是形式宾语, adj.做宾补, to do sth.是真正的宾语。

【解析】call v. 叫;打电话
(1) call sb.=telephone sb. =phone sb. =give sb. a call =ring sb. up 给某人打电话
(2) call on sb. 拜访某人
(3) called=named (被)叫做a boy called Tom

(1)afraid adj. 害怕的
be afraid to do sth. 害怕做某事

(2)because of因为;由于,后跟单词或名词性短语做原因状语;because 后面跟原因状语从句。

(1)although“尽管;虽然”,引导让步状语从句,相当于though,不能与but同时出现在一个句子中。

(1)as well表示“也;同样”时,常用于肯定句,一般放在句末,相当于too,有时和连词and或but 搭配使用。
如:
I make so much progress in grammar, and my spoken English improves as well.我在语法方面取得这么大的进步,我的英语口语也同样得到了提高。
(2)too表示“也”时,用于肯定句,常放在句末,其前常用逗号隔开;也可放在句子中间,前后均需用逗号隔开。
如:
Jack is learning to swim, and I'm going to learn it, too.杰克正在学游泳,我也要学。
(3)also用于肯定句,一般放在系动词、助动词或情态动词之后,行为动词之前。
如:
They have gone to Shanghai, and I also want to go there.他们去上海了,我也想去。
(4)either常用于否定句,一般放在句末,其前一般用逗号隔开。
如:
I can't drive a car, and she can't, either.我不会开车,她也不会。
