英语相似词汇辨析(7):tolerabale,tolerant
tolerable，tolerant
二者都是动词tolerate的派生词，但涵义及用法都不同。

Tolerable的意思是可容忍的、尚好的或尚可的(that can be tolerated of fairly good)。

例：
Your blunders are not tolerable.
你的过失是不可容忍的。

He is in tolerable health.
他的健康尚好。

He has tolerable income in Hong Kong.
他在香港的收入还不错。

Tolerant的意思是容忍的、宽大的或宽容的(having or showing tolerance)。

表示容忍之意时，tolerable反映被动的意味;tolerant则是主动的意味。

例：
We should not adopt a tolerant attitude towards those loan sharks.
对于那些大耳窿，我们不应该采取宽大的态度。

He is tolerant of your errors.
他能宽容你的错误。
