If happiness is the left bank of the river, and pain is the right, then our senior year is the stretch of water in between. This river, with its currents both smooth and turbulent, holds our future in its depths, and it's up to us to navigate it.
For 277 days, we are adrift, not knowing if we will sail smoothly or be tossed by the waves. Some say that without experiencing senior year, life is incomplete. It carries a heavy significance, an immeasurable value. We may all have complained or are complaining about how tough and exhausting this year has been. How it has shaken our hearts, how it has determined our futures. Is it fair? Some have lost themselves in this year, some have even destroyed themselves. But we must also see, that many have made it through, have endured and emerged into the ivory towers of higher education. Research shows that even Einstein's brain was only 80% developed. What about us? The potential is limitless! So is the value of senior year! All this is waiting for us to discover, to develop.
During this process, we may all aim for the left bank, the side of happiness and success. But there are no constant victors in senior year, no eternal heroes. Perhaps we all walk to the right, enduring the storms, braving the snows. Even if we sometimes capsize, we must struggle to get back up. Because we know, we have no choice but to continue. We swallow our
tears, we leave our frustrations behind. Our eyes are set on the future, we must keep moving forward.
Pain and happiness coexist in senior year. The pain comes from the pressure, from the uncertainty of the future. It weighs us down, makes us hesitate to breathe. We struggle along the right bank, but our hearts are always set on the left, where happiness lies. When you solve a 难题that everyone else has failed, you feel a surge of triumph. When you recite a difficult ancient text that has troubled you for three years, you feel a sense of accomplishment. When you achieve excellent results, you are ecstatic. Your happiness is tied to the college entrance exam, and in next June's misty rain, your results will make everything clear. If this year is painful, what's the harm? As long as we can harvest happiness and joy after the college entrance exam, it's all worth it!
However, the college entrance exam is not our ultimate goal, nor is it the only aspect of life. Senior year is just a short stretch of the river in our lives. The river of life is vast and majestic, we cannot stay for long. After senior year, you might approach the left bank, but do not stay there. This river is too long, we have to go further. The river is too wide, we do not know where the boat will go next, whether it will sink or float.
The sky is not always blue, the river is not always calm. I just hope that my friends who are also going through senior year with me can hold on, and walk well through this segment. Happiness is on the left, pain is on the right. When we are walking, it's best to stay in the middle. Success is on the left, failure is on the right. Next year, I wish we can board a big ship together on the left bank!。
