“我的演讲稿”——全国大学生英语比赛演讲稿分享
As a participant in the National English Speaking Competition for College Students, one of the most important tasks for me was to prepare my speech. Crafting a speech that would capture the attention of the judges, inform and inspire my audience, and prove my proficiency in English was no small feat. But with adequate research and preparation, I believe that I gave a winning speech that I am proud of. In this article, I'd like to take you through the process of writing and delivering my speech and share some of the strategies
that made it successful.
Firstly, I began by choosing my topic. I wanted to speak on a topic that I was passionate about and had some knowledge and experience with. After brainstorming, I chose to speak on the topic of cultural identity. Cultural identity is a topic that is relevant, important, and often misunderstood, and I wanted to use my speech as an opportunity to educate and enlighten my audience.
Next, I conducted extensive research on my topic. I read articles, watched videos, and interviewed experts in the
field to gather as much information as possible. This helped
me to have a thorough understanding of the topic and enabled me to present convincing arguments and examples. I also analyzed speeches from past competition winners and took note of their style, structure, and delivery, which helped me to develop my own style.
With my research complete, I began writing my speech. I organized my speech into three main parts: an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. In the introduction, I wanted to catch the judges' attention and set the tone for the speech.
I used a personal anecdote to introduce the topic and explained why it was important. In the body of the speech, I presented my arguments and supported them with examples.
To make my speech more engaging and memorable, I incorporated humor, anecdotes, and rhetorical devices like alliteration and rhetorical questions. For example, I used the phrase 'There's no place like home' to create a sense of nostalgia and emphasize the importance of cultural identity.
I also used a rhetorical question to challenge my audience's thinking and to invite them to think more deeply about the topic.
In the conclusion, I summarized the main points of my speech and offered a call to action. I wanted the audience to remember the importance of cultural identity and to
appreciate each other's differences. I ended my speech on an optimistic note, and encouraged the audience to work towards
a world where cultural diversity is celebrated and not feared.
While preparing my speech, I also practiced its delivery.
I rehearsed my speech in front of my friends and family, who offered constructive feedback. I worked on my pronunciation, enunciation, and pacing to make sure that my speech was clear and understandable.
On the day of the competition, I was confident and
excited to deliver my speech. I stood tall, made good eye contact with the judges and audience, and used good posture and gestures to make my speech more engaging. I spoke slowly and clearly, and used intonation and inflection to emphasize key points.
In conclusion, writing and delivering my speech was a challenging but immensely rewarding experience. By choosing a topic that I was passionate about and conducting thorough research, I was able to present a compelling case that
captured the attention of my audience. By incorporating humor, anecdotes, and rhetorical devices, I was able to make my speech engaging and memorable. By practicing my delivery and staying confident during the speech, I was able to deliver a winning performance. I'm proud of the speech that I crafted, and I hope that this article will help aspiring speakers to prepare their own winning speeches.。
