In some traditional activities in Scotland, Kilts (短褶裙) worn by men are still popular. And small bags are popular with Scottish men because they’re easy to carry money and personal things. Scottish women wear a tartan (格子呢) skirt with a blouse.
In Wales, many women wear a long dress during special festivals. And they wear tall and black hats. Welsh men haven’t got special clothes for festivals and they often wear old-fashioned trousers.
In Northern Ireland, traditional Irish step dancing is popular. For their performances (表演), women and girls usually wear a short dress so that they can kick up their feet quickly and easily. Men and boys usually wear simple clothes to dance, such as black trousers, shirts and colorful jackets.
There are also some special clothing styles in different areas of England. For example, in the north of England, flat caps (平顶帽) are popular among men. In the south of England, straw hats are popular among women, especially during the summer months. They are often decorated (装饰) with flowers.
