What and how should the third part include? Drive for the appropriate action in the close. Ask for interview, reference check, or further correspondence. All sentences should have an expectant tone. Be sure that your phone number and address are easy for the reader to contact you.
How to get the reader’s attention? Creativity and imagination are two keys. To use a topic that shows understanding of the work to be done, or To make a statement or ask a question that focuses attention on the reader’s needs that the writer seeks to fill, or If you learn of a possibility through a company employee, you can mention his/her name in the opening sentence . Avoid overused beginnings, such as “Please consider my application for …” and “This application is for …”
