同时，扩展新文本，以发展学生的语言能力、学习能力和思维能力。
整体设计思路：本节课是人教版五年级上册第一单元What’s he like? Part B Read and write 阅读课新授内容。
本节课话题是机器人，以学生感兴趣的机器人变形金刚、阿童木、哆啦A梦和大白导入，谈论话题What’s his name? What’s he like and What can he do? 后引入Robin，也通过三个问题，在听和读的过程中学习文本内容；并与第四单元read and write Who can be my friend？结合，找到关键句并回答What can he do?通过思维导图复述文章后，让学生展示自己设计的机器人并与同桌讨论，再在班上展示介绍自己的机器人。
