二、教材内容分析本单元的中心话题是“未来生活”。

本节课教授的是本单元第一篇阅读文First Impressions,主要讲述主人公李强乘坐时空穿梭机到未来后对各方面的第一印象,描绘了未来与现在在各方面的变化,暗含有作者对于这些变化的看法。

因此在设计本节课教学时,不仅要引导学生理解文本内容,还要启发学生透过文本深入探究,培养学生发现问题、分析问题和解决问题的能力,引导学生运用评判性思维深层次理解作者意图,鼓励学生勇于克服困难,提高他们爱护环境和保护自然的意识。

《普通高中英语课程标准(实验)》(教育部,2003)指出,阅读技能的教学目的是培养阅读策略;培养语感;特别强调培养学生在阅读过程中获取和处理信息的能力。
