In May of 2011, I graduated from the University of Illinois, but after months of searching I couldn’t find a job. I became discouraged; I had thought that life after college would be exciting, and filled with possibility.

New York City becomes a magical place every year during the holidays. The Rockefeller Center is a place of joy, love and music for a few months every year. I will never forget my first trip to this magical place during the Christmas break. I hope you can enjoy this story.
I grew up not far from New York City in Port Jervis New York. Each year I went to the Rockefeller Center with my aunt and sisters. I was 10, I think, the first time I went. My aunt, sisters and I drove to Hoboken to get on the Path train, which is the subway to Grand Central Station, I spent the day in Hoboken, with so much to look at and enjoy.
