一等奖小学英语教案教学策略分享:全国首届小学英语优质课
竞赛教案(一)
The lesson I taught was about using "What's this?" to ask and answer questions about classroom objects. The teaching
plan was organized in four parts: warm-up, lead in, presentation, and practice.
The warm-up session was designed to activate students' prior knowledge, encourage them to apply English in their
daily life, and create a fun and positive learning atmosphere.
I began the lesson by singing a popular English children's song called "If You're Happy and You Know It" with my students. Then, I asked them to sing along and use gestures
to show their emotions. This activity allowed the students to loosen up and feel more comfortable in participating in the class.
In the following lead-in session, I asked the students to stand up and find the items I had hidden in the classroom, such as a book, a pencil, a desk, and so on. I encouraged the students to find as many items as they could and use the phrase "What's this?" to ask about the name of the item they had found. This activity not only reviewed their previously
learned vocabulary but also provided them with a practical
skill that they can use to identify objects in their surroundings.
After the students were engaged in the warm-up and lead-
in activities, I started the presentation section. In this section, I used multimedia resources such as pictures, videos, and powerpoints to present the new vocabulary and sentence structures. I used a variety of teaching aids to make the lesson more interactive and visually engaging.
After finishing the presentation session, I used a set of exercises and games to practice the new knowledge. I divided the class into small groups and played a Pictionary-style game with them, where students took turns drawing and asking "What's this?" to help their teammates guess the word. This activity allowed the students to demonstrate their critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills while applying
the newly learned vocabulary and techniques.
In conclusion, my winning teaching strategy of using a warm-up session to create a fun and positive learning atmosphere, using a lead-in activity to mobilize students' prior knowledge, using multimedia resources to present the
new vocabulary and sentence structures, and using interactive
exercises and games to practice the new knowledge, helped me win the first prize of the National Primary School English Lesson Competition. I hope this sharing can inspire more teachers to explore and innovate in their teaching strategies and create an exciting, effective, and joyful learning experience for their students.。
