When I first entered college, I was filled with a mix
of excitement and nervousness. It was a big change from
high school, and I didn't quite know what to expect. The
first few weeks were a whirlwind of orientation events, meeting new people, and trying to find my way around campus.
I remember feeling overwhelmed at times, but also
exhilarated by the sense of freedom and independence that came with being a college student.
One of the biggest challenges for me was adjusting to the academic workload. In high school, I was used to having a set schedule and a lot of guidance from my teachers. In college, I had to learn how to manage my time effectively and take more responsibility for my own learning. I struggled with this at first, but with the help of my professors and classmates, I was able to find my footing
and develop good study habits.
Another aspect of college life that surprised me was the diversity of the student body. I met people from all over the world with different backgrounds and perspectives. It was eye-opening to have conversations with classmates who had grown up in completely different cultures, and I learned so much from these interactions.
One of the most memorable experiences from my first year of college was joining a club on campus. I had always been interested in photography, so I decided to join the photography club. It was a great way to meet people with similar interests and explore my passion for photography. Through the club, I also had the opportunity to participate in a photography exhibition, which was a really rewarding experience.
Overall, my first year of college was a rollercoaster of emotions, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It was a time of growth, self-discovery, and making lifelong memories. I'm looking forward to the next three years and all the new experiences that college has in store for me.
