Concepts of education value ——Teaching
concept is commonly used in Chinese family education and Chinese Education System. Guiding is the main concept of education wildly used in western countries. It emphasizes the rights and respects of children, which is base on a trust motion.
My Comment on These Purposes
• To develop students’ creativity and imagination • To have better communication skills to getting along with different people • To have various knowledge about life and nature which is out of textbooks • To be not so good at controlling knowledge—— especially the accounting ability about figures
Teaching Method
• Atmosphere
– The relationship between teachers and students. In the UK, students usually call teachers’ their names directly, even without family names. In the mind of people, their teaching and learning is a fair exchange. But in China teachers are always above the students. Students seldom question the conclusion of the teacher and always very polite to their teachers.

Education System —— The general education systems hey both have primary schooling, secondary and university education. Pupils in the UK who hope to attend university have to sit A-levels exams called the General Certificate of Education-Advanced. To a great degree, this is almost the same as the College Entrance Examination in china.

countries have vocational schools providing study and training for those who want to follow a certain career instead of seeking university education. And China’s TV and Radio University more or less share the same features as the Open University in Britain.

——Both the UK and China have compulsory education. Children in the UK are legally obliged to attend school from the ages of 5 to 16. In China, we have the nine-year compulsory education.
Teaching Philosophy Variety —— British education allows students to select the subjects that they are interested in and universities accept different kinds of students who have different abilities including language logic, space thinking, music, sport ,intelligence and so on.We China always just pay attention to few of them .Our education focus on the knowledge in aspect of production like physics chemistry and biology, ignoring the aspect of life. We hardly let the students think about questions like “where are we from ?” “where shoud human go?” and“ the relationship between human and the nature” .

• Activities
– Different activities are very hot in the UK. Even in the Middle Schools, students participate in many activities and learn from them . There are over 100 associations in some Middle Schools . When we take a view of China ,we all know that's few associations in schools except for the universities . – We can know that the method of learning in their countries is more relaxed and interesting . –
Teaching Philosophy Creativity—— In Britain,education aims to develop individual abilities. What they focus most is the ability of creation of students .The teachers encourage students to have their own opinions and to find new method to solve problems. Students are inspired to put forward questions and find out answers. But in China, we always have the only right answer to one question which kills students’ ability of creation and imagination to some degree.
• Class Teaching • - In Britain, their class has much less students than that of
China. In Middle School, Chinese teaching is microteaching and there are usually 40 to 60 while British is 3 to 15.
Practice ——In Britain,their subjects as well as
homework are mainly about practical issues. That means,they must finish it by themselves, cooperate with other members and make full use of their imagination. Their homework doesn’t have a unified right answer. If the answers given by students are reasonable, marks will be given. while in China, the knowledge we learn most have little relationship with our own life, they‘re more basic courses .
