Teaching Aims(教学目标):
1.能听、说、读、写本课的核心词汇:earth, part, forest, land, ocean , rubbish, sick
2.能熟练掌握核心句型:We should stop cutting down so many trees.
3.通过学习,增强环保意识,提出环保建议。

1.能在语境中运用本课的核心词汇和句型。

2.学生能运用核心句型交流看法。

Teaching Procedures(教学过程):
StepⅠ.Warm up and revision(热身与复习)
1. Sing a song.
2. Do some warming-up exercises.
Step Ⅱ.Presentation and practice(呈现新语言知识和练习)
1. Lead in.
T: Look! What is it?
Ss: It’s earth.
T: What’s on the Earth? What do you see?
Ss: I see forest. / I see land. / I see oceans.
T: Yes. Today we are going to learn more about the Earth.
2. Ask and answer.
T: What do you know about the Earth?
S1: The Earth is round.
S2: There are animals, people and plants.
3. Learn to say and use the words.
The students say and spell the words.
4. Watch the cartoon and talk about the Earth.
T: What are the green parts?
Ss: They are forests.
T: How about the brown parts?
Ss: It’s land.
T: What’s wrong with the Earth now? Read this dialogue again
and try to find the answer.
S1: The Earth was clean in the past, but now some parts are dirty.
T: What should we do to help the Earth?
Ss: We should stop cutting down so many trees.
5. The pupils read the text carefully. And then try to do some exercises. Step Ⅳ.Consolidation(拓展延伸)

教学目标
1.完成Discussion部分,为后面的日记学习做准备。

2.能理解Wu Yifan日记的内容,能认读日记里的过去式动词。

3.了解日记的大概格式。

4.能根据日记里描述的内容,将所给的图片排序。

5.模仿Wu Yifan的日记,运用过去式描述自己好坏的一天。

教学重点
能认读日记里的过去式动词,并能理解日记的内容。

教学难点
模仿课本日记写自己的一天,即写作部分。

教学准备
单词卡片、日记纸条、教学光盘。

教学过程
Step1:Warm-up
(1)取出本单元Part A 和Part B“ Let’s learn” 部分的过去式动词短语,即:“rode a bike,rode a horse,hurt my foot,went camping,went fishing,ate fresh food,went swimming,took pictures,bought gifts”,教师随便抽取词语卡片,学生“开火车” 认读。

(2)同桌二人之间Free talk,随便抽取一张单词卡片,运用本单元的句型“ What did you do? Where did you go? How did you go there?…”来展开问答。

(3)播放本单元歌曲“Tell me about your holiday”,小组比赛唱歌。

Step2:Presentation
(1)组织学生观察Discussion部分的图片,并和小组成员相互讨论:How did Wu Yifan meet Max? What will happen next?
(2)教师将已经打乱顺序的日记小纸条分给每组,小组通力合作,比一比哪个小组能最快将打乱顺序的日记小纸条排好顺序。

(3)学生打开课本,先快速阅读日记,并根据阅读内容的事情发展顺序将图片排序,并结合图片理解短文内容。

(4)小组合作,一人读旁白,其他的组员按要求做动作,比一比哪个小组做得最好。

如:A:骑自行车的动作;B:Max坐在篮子前的动作;C:照相动作;D:买礼物动作;
E :吃食物动作。

(5)教师点拨重难点句子:Max sat in a basket on the front of the bike.提示“sit” 的过去式为“sat”; Mum ate some bad fruit and didn’t feel well. “ feel well”表示“感觉好”,“didn’t feel well”表示“感觉不好”;We dressed up and made a funny play. “我们
穿衣打扮并创作了一出有趣的戏剧”。

(6)根据短文理解,完成课后练习第二题。

Step3:Consolidation and extension
(1)找出日记中的动作词语,并列出表格,写出动作词语的过去式和原形,如:
(2)模仿Wu Yifan所写的日记,写一写关于你自己又好又坏的一天。

学生在写的时候,教师要提醒学生注意运用过去时,并逐一指导。

Step 4:Homework
模仿Wu Yifan所写日记的格式,描述自己一天的活动。

教学反思
本部分以日记的形式要求学生能够读懂并理解日记的内容,能认清动词的过去式,弄清动作发生的先后顺序。

对于没有见过的单词的过去式,教师要重点进行点拨。

教学过程中教师可多多开展游戏,吸引学生的注意力,提高学生学习的兴趣。
