1.Present the new words
T: Today we are going to learn the names of animals.
We’ll also learn how to say which one we like and
tell why we like them.
(Point to the map of a zoo , showing the p icture of
animals. )
T: (Poitnt to a panda) What’s this ?
Ss: It’s a panda.
T: (Point to some pandas .) What are these ?
Ss: They are pandas.
T: Thank you .
( Teach “tigers , elephants, koalas , dophins , lions , penguins
and girffes ” in the same way .)
( Point to the animals individually , and ask students
to reopeat them as quickly as they can .)
2. Practice the new words
1a : Match the words with the animals in the picture .
Then check the answers.
