1. Harry and Tom drove slowly along the main road.
Harry 和Tom 沿着主要道路慢慢驾驶。
2. Harry looked at the fields on either side of the road.
Harry看着道路两边的田野。
3. There appears to be a lot of potatoes there. Look at them.
那里似乎有很多土豆。

4. They're very hard workers, those men and women. They work hard every year.

5. Just then, a Scottish terrier came running out of a gate.

Vocabulary:
Main road: the main road in a town or district

Field: an area of open land, especially one planted with crops or pasture

Potatoes: a round vegetable with a brown, yellow or red skin and a white or yellow flesh

Answer these questions:

Part 7: Role-play
Harry: Look at all those potatoes in the fields on either side of the road, Tom. They have a lot of them this year.
Tom: Yes, they do. Those men and women must be very hard workers. They work hard every year.
Harry: Oh, look at that Scottish terrier! It's so cute.
Tom: It seems to like running after cars. It just ran in front of ours.
Harry: Why did it do that?
Tom: I don't know. Little dog, you like running after cars, don't you?
Harry: Tom, slow down! The dog's going to get hurt.
Tom: Don't worry, Harry. It turned the corner and ran away. It's all good.
Harry: True. Let's keep going and see what else we can find.
Tom: Alright then, let's head to the town.
Role-play the dialogue above with a partner. Swap roles and practice again. Make sure to switch turns and try to be expressive with your tone of voice. Have fun with it!
