The road has not been easy. We have faced segregation, prejudice, and systemic racism that has hindered our progress. But through it all, we have shown that we are not defined by the adversity we face, but by our ability to overcome it. We have proven that we are not just survivors, but thrivers.
Tonight, I want to talk about embracing our strengths. Our community is rich with talent, intellect, and potential. We have the power to shape our own destiny, to create a future that is bright and full of opportunities. But to do so, we must first acknowledge and embrace our strengths.
Firstly, we must embrace our resilience. Resilience is not just about bouncing back from adversity; it is about thriving in the face of it.

Thirdly, we must embrace our sense of community. Our community is our strength. We have always been there for each other, supporting one another through thick and thin. We have built institutions, organizations, and networks that have lifted us up and supported us in our endeavors.
