As a high school student in Zhejiang, I have been preparing for the college entrance examination, also known as the Gaokao, for the past three years. The pressure is immense, and the competition is fierce. The Gaokao is not only a test of academic knowledge but also a test of mental and emotional strength.
I remember the first time I took a mock exam in my
junior year. I was so nervous that I couldn't concentrate, and my mind went blank when I saw the difficult math problems. I ended up scoring much lower than I had expected, and I felt defeated. However, I didn't let that discourage me. I sought help from my teachers and classmates, and I practiced relentlessly. Slowly but surely, my scores improved, and I gained more confidence in my abilities.
In addition to studying hard, I also had to make
sacrifices in other areas of my life. I had to give up some of my hobbies and social activities in order to dedicate more time to my studies. It was tough, but I knew that it was necessary if I wanted to succeed in the Gaokao.
As the exam date approaches, the pressure becomes even more intense. There are moments when I feel overwhelmed and doubt whether I am capable of achieving my goals. However, I remind myself of the hard work and dedication I have put in over the years, and I find the strength to keep going.
