2a and 2b provide students with listening practice using the target language. Before students listen to the recorder, let students be familiar with the content of activity 1a and while listening, tick what tina and Tony did on their last day off in the chart to finish 2a.

Then teach the phrases, and ask students to say out the past form of the verbs: watch—watched , sleep—slept, go—went, take—took, help—helped
Next, ask students to look at picture and talk about which activity they dislike most, and rank the actions with the number(1—5).(1=dislike…most2=don’t like 3=don’t want 4=like 5=be interested in)

After supper I watched TV with my friends at my home. After that I had to do my homework in my bedroom. I went to sleep very late. I had a terrible day off.”
